重返中大校園

因為趕summer workshop的緣故，雖然回港只有三天，jetlag依然未過，但必須返IE LAB繼續努力喇！黃色暴雨的一個早上，我依然早上八時就起床了.... 乘港鐵的時候幸而沒有再下雨 :)

返校園途中，居然給我遇上了在UIUC讀PhD的一個中國人！真巧！哈哈！想不到他竟然覺得中大校園比UIUC校園漂亮得多...

重遇很多人，IE Lab的燕姐、到現在都覺得我幫過她的何太（還要打趣的跟ken說是否想住近ｄ志文XDDD）、Oliver、Simon、Leo和KK。

半年的變化很大，好多東西感覺已經變得好陌生，對人的感覺亦是；時間可以令一個人由謙卑變得自大，那些經歷好像可以令其無限量驕傲。我好怕變成這種人，我不要做那些識少少扮代表的人。

Summer workshop又做錯事，因為未弄清楚而做是會有因快得慢的惡果，應當小心！

回到中大，又面對跟UIUC的學習氣氛差一大截的環境，我要小心提醒自己，記著那時候做system programming的時候，寫code的那個樂趣，堅守著從ivan身上學回來的那份堅持。

看來，我對香港還未能夠完全適應，那份寂寞的感覺又再襲擊我，雖然我知道我不是寂寞的。

Jetlag: 已經一個星期了....

不知道是因為jetlag的緣故還是什麼，自從由太平洋返亞洲之後，我一直都有個奇怪的現象：晚上十一時開始（或者更早）一定好眼訓，第二朝七時至九時一定會睡醒後就再不能入睡，一到晚上六時後開始有睡意，九時半會有睡眼出現，隨時可以睡得著！我好像好不健康的樣子... /_\

昨天將半年的頭髮剪掉，Rhys說我的頭型還可以，兩層layers還在，頭髮又不太厚，基本上只能輕輕修一下（oh my God!就這樣就HKD128?!）。跟rhys的對話，我開始懷疑自己是否能夠稱為一個大學生，社會上面好多東西都沒有認識過，好像除了自己專業裡的知識之外（其實IE的知識都未學識！），其他什麼都不會，對社會認知不足，還有一個月的時間，我可以改變這個局面麼？

My Journey ends

Finally, my half year paradise-like journey ends. It is absolutely an amazing exchange programme to UIUC, knowing a lot of nice people there. I enjoyed everyday in UIUC, juz because I have nothing to bother with. I could concentrate on my work since no shopping and no malls. I liked hanging out on every Saturday with Ken to Walmart/Meijer to buy our food. Ya, it's really like working on the home of us. :)

I traveled to different places in US. It would be definitely the bonus for me to have received a lot of financial aids from different parties so that I could be able to fulfil my dream. I have to thank Ken for subsidize a lot for me, especially many many meals! Thank you so much!

It was a real long winter in Urbana-Champaign, the hardest as ever. I could not imagine how I could be surviced from the extremely cold weather. I remembered last time it was about -20C in Chicago. How could one suvrvice under such bad weather? Anyway, we made it! :)

From the many places I have traveled, I love Urbana-Champaign the most. It was quiet and less dense. You could have ample time to think about the deeper side of yourself. I enjoyed sitting in the library in the afternoon doing nothing. Washington DC is good, but it is too HK-like. Urbana-Champaign is totally different from Hong Kong, not many shops, restaurants. I think that's how you could feel American life.

Tokyo is quite attractive. People there are really nice and helpful. Some waiters don't know English but they try really hard to explain stuff to you.

Anyway, I finally get back to Hong Kong. I feel really stressed at home. (In fact, I did not miss home after the first month in US) I missed my American life a lot! Anyway, it's time to go back to reality, rite? Life is difficult but I have to carry on with it. I will suit myelf in!

PS. Ken, really thank you so much for helping me a lot in this journey. It wouldn't be that perfect without you. I love you. :)

4th Day @ Japan

Hm... ytd I was extremely tired that I slept for the whole trip... Ken was unsatisfied with me as wherever I went to, I was sleeping. We went to the outlet but I juz bought a little. I bought a Nike sportshoes for juz HKD250 but I bet it was out-dated. I dun care that in fact. XDD We went to "Toi-cheung" ytd for the nightview. But the weather was so bad that we could barely see anything. Smog covered everything!!

Today, I felt a little bit better. I think shopping is a big problem for me. I hate shopping now! I felt dizzy all the time. We walked around Shinjuku again (I need to buy my cosmetics...) for Shabushabu. It was very nice! =] We then comprimised to go to LaQua Spa which is quite new in Tokyo. It was located at the TokyoDomeCity where one of the world's fastest roller coster is located... I was inside the LaQua hotspot refreshment area now. I feel good! The staff is nice. Though they know a little bit of English, they did try their very best to explain things to me! :)

Hm... I will be back very soon... around 24hrs. In the remaining time, I had to try my best to play as hard as I can!!!! \_/

2nd Day @ Tokyo

Hi, again, I'm in the Internet cafe now. Today went to the `gut-cheung-tsy' and shinjuku. At the first stop, we stayed at the park for more than an hour. Then, shop at Muji and Uniqlo. I bought a little there. In fact, it's not as cheap as I think....

In shinjuku, it's very tired!!! How come Tokyo JP station have no seat for people to rest at?!

Anyway, I still miss Champaign where I learnt not to shop too much. Now, it turns out that I am not as addicted to shopping as I was before. But, we ought to buy something for both of us...

1st Day in Japan

Hi, I did arrive Japan finally. Its realli frustrating of not knowing any Japanese before coming. We first got on the right Narita Express Bus but to the wrong car. The different cars of the train will split to different route later on. So, we had to got out. Luckily, a nice Mama helped us to tell the captain that we got the wrong car!

Then, we arrived at the Ikebukuro hostel. There’s no internet connection and the room is quite small... Hope Ken wouldn't mind that... T-T

We had a great dinner at a Ramen restaurant. The shop keepers know Mandarin. The ramen is really nice!

We are now inside an Internet cafe which is quite ok... Communication is the most troublesome thing! /_\

PS. Holy shxt! my period arrived so early that I dunno if I could still go to hot pot!!! I found it out when I got trouble on the plane. Luckily it was not too obvious....

Ninth Day of End of Term Trip

I've moved to Washington DC yesterday night. Due to bad bad weather in NY, our flight delayed for more than an hour. Then, it took more than 40 minutes to take off. Anyway, through this spare time, I read my Sophie Kinsella which I loved to read. The story is better than the last few novels of hers. However, I just finished up to 120 pages....

Yesterday we slept in Best Western Hotel. It's just about 3-star hotel but it's the most comfortable place to sleep throughout our trip. I slept after I bathed until today 915am. It seems that I'm not too well and need a lot of sleep!

Today, we went to the Pentagon. There said no photography of the Pentagon property. However, I really couldn't figure out that one is the Pentagon! It's just a damn place...

Then, we went to our hostel - HI-WASHINGTON. It looks really like to a student hostel, similar to Grace Tien's Hall. It's quite OK for this price. Good location indeed.

We went to the ChinaTown nearby to have our lunch. The waiter could speak Cantonese which is a bonus! The food is very delicious!

Then, we went to the Spy Museum, which shows quite a lot of spying-stuff like bugs, invisibe inks. It's like having a security class again. We saw the Enigma again. XDD Then, we walked a lot from the Washington monument, Jerreson Monument, Lincoln Monument to the Albert Einstein Monument. My legs are like no more belong to me!

We then took the Metro to the Union Station, hoping to find something good to eat. However, their prices are really high. There's not much choices as we went there quite lately. So, we had McDonald's again for a meal.... I just think we had too much McDonald's throughout our journey.

After the 2nd day of my stay at DC, I prefer DC rather than NY. NY is just like another Hong Kong, where life is very stressful. People in NYC appeared to be less friendly than in DC. Plus there is more places to go in DC rather than in NY. But, NY would have more opportunities. It would be a better place to find your dream.

Seventh Day of end of term trip

Today, we woke up a little bit late due to late laundry ytd. Anyway, it's much better than in March, our wake up time is around 9pm. We kept on tasting frozen cakes, the freezer is so strong in fact... Angria appeared to be really busy today. She kept on typing SMS messages. I thought it's something related to her new friend who hit her off.

We went to the Central Park today. It might even bigger than the Victoria Park in HK but we aren't that into it. :p Then, we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts which is as big as the Art Museum in Chicago. I hate paintings after all... It's so hard for me to watch millions of paintings all at a time. I feel dizzy in the afternoon and had to stop visiting. So, I just sat down at the lobby and take a nap. It makes me so sleepy after taking the Cold pills. After taking a nap, I feel much better. :)

We walk around St. Patrick's Church in the 5th Avenue. Wow! It's so so so BIG!! I like the Catholic churches, they are marvelous! Then, we visited the H&M without buying anything.

At night, we walked a long way to the 吉野家 near Time's Square. It's so tasty and so full! But, it's really cheap when compared to other restaurants.

Sixth Day of End of Term Trip

Today we finished our 6th Day of journey. It's frustrating to settle the hostel fee in the morning. The worst thing is we dun have enough money and had to walk around to take money out from ATM machines.

Then, we arrived TKTS store in Times Square at around 1030am. TKTS is the one selling cheap boardway tickets. However, the man told me there's never Wicked cheap tickets. So, we just bought 3 Mama-mia! tickets. After paying for the hostel fee, we all have no cash in our hands. We had to go back and take money out and line up again... Anyway, we finally got our tickets, each USD61 included tax.

We walked around the New York Public Library which is located at 5th Avenue. It's quick big but i can't find any interesting books. There's a lot of Japanese restaurants in the 5th Avenue. We bought a quick lunch in one of them and had them outside the NYPL. I ordered a beef rice bowl but the beef is quite thick. It's not as good as I expected.

We watched Mama-mia! at 2pm. I slept nearly for the whole show... T^T What the XXCK!!! After that, we went to the Columbia University which is at the 110th Street. The buildings there are actually packed extremely close to each other, even closer than in CUHK. Maybe this is the difference between NY and Champaign. I bet Columbia University isn't famous of engineering school though.

At night, we went to the Times Square Ruby Tuesday. It's really expensive, around USD25-30 per head. Maybe tomorrow we could go to the China Town once again to have a real nice+cheap dinner.

In most of the subway stations, we could find SingTao newspaper with the Earthquake as the headline. It's really horrible. What is the real reason to result such a tragedy?

5th Day of End Term Trip

After trained by Connie for 3 days, we finally could back to a more traveler-like journey. I woke up today at 8am successfully after a real good sleep. Then, we left our hostel to Starbuck for a quick breakfast. My iced coffee tasted good but it's too cool!!! Anyway, then we try to go to buy Broadway ticket without success. Having wasted 1 hour, we then went to the Battery Park and then took the ferry to visit the Statue of Liberty.

There's really huge number of visitors going to visit the Statue just like we did! We lined up for the tickets, for the security check, and then for getting on and off the ferries. We wasted most of our time in between the Islands in lining up. It's crazy!!

Then, we went to the Wall Street when it's nearly time to close offices. We sat down at a real grand public area for a light Teaset: @2.5 Sushi. It's very cheap, juz USD1 per head which we got it because the guy forgot to take his money back when he purchased his MTA ticket. :p We then realized that we missed taking the photo of the Bull at the Wall Street so that we returned to it after visiting the WTC. WTC is now a rubbish place but it's really sad.

Finally, we got to the China Town before 8pm. It's kind of late that we could hardly find shops that were open at that time. Fortunately, we did find a Chinese restaurant of low prices. The food is very good! They served us with Tea which is free of charge. We had unlimited amount of rice as much as you can fill your stomach full. We ordered 3 dishes, but the "fried oyster with eggs" was kind of disgusting. Anyway, this was a very delicious meal! :)

After that, we traveled back to our HighBridge Hostel at Harlem. The Harlem street was as poor as yesterday's. It's quite scary! Anyway, I had come back safely under the guard of two "strong" men. :)

PS. Just read the news about XiChuan, it's really sad. The earthquake is juz like the one happened in Chinese textbook: TangShan. Hope the aid comes quickly and people there could be saved as soon as possible.

Forth Day of End Term Trip

I've landed safely in Halem, NYC. Halem is a black-people area that many people said it's dangerous here. Anyway, please dun panic. :)

Today we went through the 4th park in Disneyworld - Hollywood Studio. It's ok but in fact i'm a little bit tired of simulation game. I know the feeling of free fall isn't real so i stopped panic. But I still don't dare get into the real ride. I'm really afraid of the feeling of free-fall even though it's like a metre high. Ken is so kind to me that whatever "exciting" game I dun play, he didn't play either. He lost lots of chances to play those "amazing" ride becox of me... Anyway, I did try one indoor ride with little free-fall but accelerating so quickly. I cried just after the game started. :'( The whole group of people dare not persuade me playing exciting games anymore.

We left the MGM studio today after 2:30pm. We were realli in a rush that we have to catch the MEARS bus at 3:30pm! Unfortunately, the cab driver drove us to the celebration instead of the Radisson Celebration! I noticed it lately. Anyway, the cab drove us back to the right place after I appeared to be unsatisfied. He charged us at USD22 which is in fact lower than the morning cab price. :)

Then, we travelled to NYC where I am now. We three people always travel with "excitements". It's like adventure. It seems not many HK people dare to come to Harlem cox this is actually a place for the black and the environment is quite bad. (I saw mouses running in between the railway!!! Isn't it NYC?) We arrived Manhattan at around 11pm and could only find McDonald's. I could only think of one reason to go to a less tourists populated area, that is to find food at a lower price. Tonight, I and Ken shared a "2 cheese-burger meal" with "4 McNuggets" at USD4.5+1+tax. It is a good deal!

Now, we landed to the Highbridge Hostel, it's much better than expected. We've got some room-mates. We knew a gal of mixed Asian and Holland called "angria", a Greece name. She is nice with very good English! She's a dancing teacher too! Wow!!

Anyway, time to bed. Seeya. =]

First Day of End term trip

This is the first day of my end of term trip. I and Ken just got 2.5 hr-sleep to carry on with our trip. We first checked out at the Sherman Hall front desk. I hope there's nothing wrong with my room. Otherwise, I have to pay for USD25 for the stupid cleaning fee...

I, Ken, Hendry, Connie and Ivan had a great Amtrak journey this time. I liked talking with Ivan! His story is very interesting! I jealous him of studying at UIUC+Internship at a very very good computer company.

After that, I, Ken, hendry just thought we're going to the o'hare airport but the fact is, our destination should be Midway airport. Oops... Luckily we had Connie who notice us. But, we just got there lately that we couldn't put our luggage in. We've got lots of liquid like shampoo, cream, etc inside!

Finally, I, Ken and Hendry just change our flight to a later one and left Connie alone to meet with Qin who was in Orlando before us. The flight is quite low priced and safe! We arrived Orlando at around 10:11pm, a +1 timezone when compared with Chicago.

Orlando is really very inconvenient that subway could hardly be found. We bought a USD32 round-trip shuttle bus from MEARS. It's really very expensive!!! Anyway, we got to the hotel at 12 midnight. So, just write soon. =]

Goodbye My Room

I'll check out just around 4-5 hours later and carry on with my trip. I really can feel a sense of how time flies. it would be very glad to have come here, it's the most amazing thing to have been here. i like urbana-chamaign. the people here, the shops, the enviornment, i love them all. i can hardly find another place gives me such a memorable experience before.

it just like i've been moving here a month ago. i dont even know where did my january and feburary went. the winter here actually did ruin my mood. it would be happier if the weather is not that bad. But after all, it's just kind of experience, right? I've taken a lot of photos of my room, I'll show you all later. This room is so nice to me, it's biggest room i've ever had! I have a "private" bathroom of my own too!

Actually, today would be the second last day of enjoying my life at UIUC. It's really incredible. I talked with many native speakers and I find out my English has improved a little bit. it'll be more preferable to have a 1-year exchange program. I would suggest it too!!

I could not even find something I realli regret about. What I learnt here could never be learnt in HK. I would not that familiar with socket programming if I were studying it in CU. This is realli amazing to have been here. Though it spends maybe the whole of my money, I have no regret in doing so.

18th Thursday @ UIUC

今天過了最忙碌的一天，要KO的工作還挺多的，足足寫滿了一張紙！

今天起來煮個靚飯，已經下午一時，然後努力完成餘下的一百頁can you keep a secret? 為的是要今天內還掉之前借的書和DVDs，為明天的quit宿做好準備！終於兩點前完成喇！之後背著好重重的書出發去！

然後去Engineering Hall辦什麼Housing award的手續，It's crazy! 我跟本不知道什麼原因要我填表，然後白白浪費了我一個小時才知道是send錯！

晚上interview，好驚連astri都唔收我T^T 我在21-26不能聯絡得上呀，不要這麼對我啦 T_T

18th Wednesday @ UIUC

今天七時正考試，考numerical method，入去不消廿五分鐘就將40條MC做完，當中有些是顯然連term都未聽過（上課時一定沒有教的喇！），有些不肯定，有些做完又做；結果是怎樣我不太介意了，因為都走佬咯，有什麼比珍惜這裡的最後兩天更重要？

* 請不要以為我回港了，我還有東岸和東京之旅向著我招手～

之後努力埋首東京之旅的準備，好擔心去的景點太多，又怕玩得不夠全面看不到日本的風味，不過，jamjam說得對，不要太貪心，到頭來可能將事情弄得更糟！好啦，如今我的revised version是有溫泉（希望生理期生生性性！！）、築地、新宿、outlet、一些博物館，建少的建議是：不要shopping太多喇，反正東京購物都較貴；不過，買化妝品和平價貨品一定不能少的！*v* 今晚印了很多notes出來，將printer都印壞 :p

寫下明天要做的事情，很多很多，應該做不到運動的了，遲些再返champaign的時候再去CRCE血拼啦！ ** 到時候可能又會因為要埋首東京的資料搜集而取消CRCE之旅...

2009年

各位同學和教職員

老校園 新建築2008年4月25日的立法會財務委員會會議，正式批准撥款3億3,820萬，供中大興建五幢建築物，分別供晨興、善衡與和聲三所新書院使用。

中大在2007至08學年提供的核准政府資助學生宿位為5,926個，而中大現有政府資助學生宿位只有4,066個，即尚欠約1,860個這類宿位。這五幢新建築落成後，共可增加1,500個宿位，有助補足短缺數目。

這五幢建築物可望在暑假動工興建，首先進行圍板和地盤清理工程。鄰近大學體育中心、供晨興和善衡兩所書院使用的建築，預期 2010年年底竣工；位於士林路的和聲書院則於2011年3月完成。另外，位於大學站側的酒店及旅遊管理學院新教學樓，已完成地基和地盤平整工程，現正興建上蓋。這座教學樓毗鄰新教學酒店，預計在2009年12月完工。

最後，兩座興建中的新建築，也將於本年內相繼完成。位於李達三樓舊址的新教學樓，將於9月竣工；座落新亞書院的霍英東遙感科學館，則會在10月建成。以上各工程進行期間，無可避免會對教職員和學生造成滋擾和不便，希望各位能多加體諒、包涵和支持。

18th Tuesday @ UIUC

懶洋洋的我已經無心戀戰了，更加不想再理日本之旅的行程，越看就越煩！好多東西要準備呀，好像現在準備已經遲了些，唉，聽說新宿沒有太多便宜的東西可以買，台場一定要去啦，大江戶溫泉又好像好正好想入住，但行李又可以放在哪裡呢？T^T

今天終於將行李放好在ivan房間裡，ivan好好人的幫我將行李由一樓抽到上四樓！！仲勁過做dumbbell！然後又提我們要記得dl盡UIUC的免費software才好！對啊，差點忘記了！一口氣馬上下載了vista+XP+visio，還有很多很多，幸而Harddisk還有15GB的空位，可以用盡！

嗯，努力KO Numerical method，然後可以繼續埋首看sophie kinsella的書ss，真的好好看，強烈推薦給喜歡看BJ單身日記那種故事的人看，sophie kinsella的書真的沒有深度，不過夠頂癮！*v*

18th Monday @ UIUC

踏入最後一星期了，這個blog應該不知不覺間伴著我十八個星期之久！我想，待我返港後再看看幾個月前的我，應該會好回味的了。 =] 所以，我才會每天都盡量keep住寫寫寫，那怕在這裡看得最多的人就是自己！

今天我又跑步去了，成績有進步，有六個圈之久，雖然跑到第六個圈還有氣的，不過因為呼吸得較差，好多氣跑到肚子裡，所以乾脆做其他運動好了。加強Byebye肉的訓練，合共兩set，每set有二十下；然後肚腩的訓練，patpat位的訓練，希望這幾天的訓練有效啦！臨走前上磅，我輕多1lb *v*

17th Sunday @ UIUC

昨天考完試後一直沒有眠過，去了第二次Far East入貨，因為之後幾天比較閒，可以做飯給自己和kenken吃了 (L) 最開心的是吃到我喜歡吃的全旦面/蝦子面，又可以慳錢，昨天買了的USD12夠兩個人吃三餐的了，即是每天是2/head，平時兩蚊夠你買一枝coke罷了！還有，我房間都蠻多吃的，有subway value meal不想吃的Lays chips，有平時好愛吃現在好討厭吃的mashmallow，還有古古力沖劑、貪得意買下的奶茶茶包（都幾難飲... ）、winnie送的烏龍茶茶葉（好香好正的，為我security+OS考試打氣呀！）、媽媽臨走前給我的心心參茶、kenken姨姨送的五花茶（其實是kenken的不過已經給我佔有了XDD），６天裡能夠用得完嗎？T^T

今天努力為日本之旅做好準備，之前看到池袋的百貨公司全部都會在2100關門，我之前以為是11pm，今天才驚覺是9pm! 我們530pm才到達narita airport，去到全部都關了啦 -.- 我不想第一日就要浪費掉呀！

實在好像考完試的心情，因為下一科頹爆numerical method星期三晚上七時才考，太多時間又不想浪費，於是好好利用CRCE的福利！考試期間的CRCE蠻少人，不過都有些人在努力做運動中，特別是肥婆（個肚腩大到好似有左BB咁... ）。跑了五個圈，然後繼續做weight train，要加緊hips和手臂的訓練喇，我有預感去旅行的時候那些部位又會再現喇 /_\

沒有kenken的做運動日子好悶呀... 做完半小時就走，再去Far East入貨，因為帶不夠錢的關係，只買了很少很少的東西，買下好貴的味噌湯，不過應該幾好味罷。回家才發覺，原來我都還有些未用過的湯，例如一個金寶Broccoli cheese。好，目標是星期五前吃光這些東西！\_/

17th Saturday @ UIUC

第一個UIUC考試日，七點鐘起身的我極度黑仔，首先今天叮mini-pizza做早餐吃的時候，明明包裝上寫明5min，但是去到4分鐘的時候居然燒焦！微波爐冒煙，然後kenken聰明得馬上將微波爐門打開，令到所有煙都冒出來！房間裡的煙霧探測器響起，我心想：半小時候要考試囉喎，唔係搞ｄ咁既野呀？最後，我倆執好行李馬上閃人！

一邊考試一邊想著家中會不會著火呢？令到試卷本身已經不會做，現在又不專心，一定收皮喇 =[

之後早半小時走人，回家看看，幸而一切平女無恙！只是房間比較臭了點 :p 然後ken將港紙千元的書賣掉，還好有一半的錢！不知道我的257會否賣到，舊1版的numerical method，如果五塊美金就算了吧，將他帶回香港啦。

今天security exam好x難，沒有一條有100%把握，我一邊做一邊想：嘩，留空咁多唔係幾好喎...我的結論是：i've screwed up with all my exams!

嗯，剛剛執好行李喇，原來我的隨身物品那麼少的，不消半小時就收拾好 XP 還未考完試就要執行李喇，因為下星期要將行李放在ivan家中～我想我應該夠位，再加埋kenken的空位，我想日本之旅都不用買吧？！

聖火

在UIUC校園裡面沒有什麼olympic game的氣氛，我看到的都是從新聞上看到的片段，我想討論的不是CNN主播的那番話，而是看到某人xanga說：香港人因為奧運變得愛國，令言論自由都容不下。

我覺得這種講法不正確，當然，追求民主追求言論自由的人會覺得如果連去示威都不准，那麼香港講了幾十年的言論自由不就失去嗎？不過，追求自由還追求，有必要在這個「節日」底下去做這樣的事嗎？這是一份尊重嘛，你會不會在新年流流捉人家的痛腳來講一番？難道除了傳聖火的日子外，就沒有其他的日子可以示威嗎？這樣示威又代表什麼？既然大家歡天喜地的辦喜事，為什麼要掃大家的興，難道再遲一天早一天去做又不行嘛？

去年十二月中大的畢業典禮裡面，抗議董建華領銜、要求特首增加福利的人將當天氣氛搞到不倫不類，這次在奧運傳聖火事件裡面又要將場面搞得不體面。這不是面子問題，而是對主持、對大會的一位尊重。就好像你去看電影，將電話關掉不去傾電話，這樣又可以叫做失去這論自己麼？

Hey, today is the reading day. reading day is just a day for you to revise for your exam. however, the fact is, for an undergraduate here, you'll have a lot of subjects to go thru. how can u finish them within 1 day?! worst of all, US exams are likely to packed into juz couple of days. you may have 3 exams on the same day,each lasts for 3 hours!! CU exams are much "lighter" when compared here.

anyway, juz 2 days left. i shall be revising my OS and security together. T^T today when i wake up, i juz stop myself from dl-ing last friends ep03 which i wanna watch so much! >_<

ok. time to carry on. suddenly, i found i've got a lot of stuff to work on after my security exams... the worst thing is to plan better for my tokyo trip... T^T

17th Wednesday @ UIUC

Today finished my OS class and ESL class. Lawrence is really a nice teacher who manages class very well. His class is really fun with lots of YouTube video to watch. XDD it's entertaining! That's what a good lecturer should give! Why? In this way, you could remember things better!

Then, I spent the whole afternoon looking at Netflix prize which is related to my FYP. I did 90% of the FYP proposal but I dun think this is really a good one. There's still some problems which I don't know. Maybe Will NG will return this to me, saying how rubbish it was....

Anyway, I finished my ESL class today. it's really nice to meet a lot of foreigners here. it's really a smart choice to have chosen this class. it's not busy at all. There are many different ppl to make friends with. Today, Dustin asked me if I'm going to held a presentation for the facebook group. I've then passed the responsibility to Ken as usual. :p Winnie gave me a little present today - a little bag of tea. She knows I like drinking tea and gives me some "Wu-Lone" which her mom gave me as a sourvenir to her friends. It smell so good! =]

Then, chatted with a beautiful Korean Mommy! Just knew that she's been to the America for 5 YEARS!! I wished I could! She's lovely and cheerful! I like her! :) She told us her name in Chiniese: Wan Wai Ling - very nice name =] She taught us Korean Hi and Bye is: Un-yong. XDD

17th Tuesday @ UIUC

閉關行動正式開始，不過暫時未見得好見效罷了...

美國人真搞鬼，上星期熱到飛起，於是sherman將暖氣較做冷氣；這幾天突然冷死人，可是冷氣依舊，沒有暖氣的冷天氣好可憐啊！所以，明年我會考慮買個小暖氣（聽說HKD100罷！）放在房間暖暖的 *v* 結果，昨晚抱著我的暖水袋入睡～不過手腳依然冰冷，這是我天生的體質問題...

今天吃過飯後趕上numerical method，今天教的不會考，於是整堂就發夢啦、寫schedule啦，聽到的不夠一半，知道什麼叫做monte carlo simulation，其實即是stochastic。還有下星期四才是最後一堂啊！

然後溫溫書又到security的時間，今天review session其實都幾無用 :p Prof. Nicole是暫時我覺得真係好鬼勁的professor，幾乎每個星期總要out town參加conference一次，忙得可以；雖然講書麻麻，不過是一個好有心的professor，又經常講笑話，但他講話太快經常聽不到，搞到人家笑完我還是呆呆下 XDD 今天他的一個笑話：話說prof nicole用mac book，誰知今天上網突然去到一個網頁scan其電腦發現有好多Backdoor/trojan，位置有於win32/ folder XDDD 然後想ignore這個msg，結果彈出要付USD200 XDDD 真搞鬼

Security這一科的student evaluation form是我做得最認真的一份，一是因為覺得這個course有點失望，什麼都好表面沒有深入一點，連prof nicole都深表遺憾；二是因為我覺得prof nicole好有心叫我們做course E，派表前又講講他有次試過隔了成年才收到course E表，但那時候他都忘了一年前教得怎樣啦。嗯，最後一堂security了，我還記得那次mid term1跟prof. nicole說找到typo然後他對我笑著的說：thank you；還有，每次mid term我都是undergrad裡面最早考的一位，每次身邊都沒有人，同場只有3或5個graduates一齊考的情景！

還有十天的生活罷了，我要好好珍惜啊！T^T

17th Monday @ UIUC

5 Days before my final exams start. The final exam will be very exciting. I'll have OS exam at 8am-11am. Then, Security final at 130pm-330pm. Will I be able to survive after all? T^T My progress now is: 0%. AWESOME! XDD Anyway, I'll catch up with them these few days. I shall turn my MSN off to make myself concentrate on revision! /_\

Though it's already end of April now, the weather is absolutely crazy! Today, it's just around 6C in campus! How could that be? In the afternoon, it rained together with hail!!OMG! Is it April now? I can feel how serious global warming is now... Please save our environment!

Tonight, I've finished ESL500 stuff. The final presentation was ok, not too good and not too bad. I nearly lose my voice after talking for 40minutes non-stop! :) I really enjoy chatting with Dustin. He's the nicest American guy I've ever met here!! =] Among all the first round of presentation, Dustin listened to my presentation first. :p And he encouraged me after my presentation. *v* Today, I've introduced "UNIQLO" to Dustin too because I used a UNIQLO plastic bag to hold the cloth he borrowed to me last time. I dunno if I pronounce it correctly but more or less like that. :p

In fact, I am a bit inspired by what 肥澧 said few days ago in his xanga: 窮人用健康、時間換取金錢；有錢人用金錢、時間換取健康. It's so ironic. What actually should my life be? Sometimes, I think Dustin, or even my ELT teacher Peter, are the same kind of person. They are enjoying the life which I've longed for. I do know that it'll be my selfish wish too.

Anyway, time to carry on with my revision. /_\

16th Sunday @ UIUC

今天起床已經十一時，可能做完一小時的yoga身體還蠻累的，腰和手臂位都有點酸軟，而日前口腔內的發炎位依然痛得非常，說話時要小心點，好辛苦的啊 T^T

kenken因為功課忙不想今天買東西煮飯食，貪玩的erica於是發惡發脾氣，終於可憐的kenken surrendered :p 我們先去來來吃個飯，我吃東西的時候好辛苦呢，其實我幾乎只能夠吞下流質的食物，米飯那些都只能夾硬連咬都沒咬就吞下去，所以，今天我吃了整整一小時的飯.... 吞了米飯、eggplant、Tofu。

然後，我們出發往Far East Grocery Store去！Far East是我們聽了很多好評但又未去過的地方，如果今天不再出發的話，我們都應該沒有機會去喇，只有兩個星期餘下罷了... 它是位於Fifth Street + University Avenue的交界（經過Dustin昨天教路才知道哦，怎麼我們不早點跟Dustin熟絡點？！），入到去果然沒有失望，好像去到香港的裕記一樣，水果蔬菜雖不怎新鮮，不過有很多台灣的急凍食品，有火鍋用的配料如丸子等等，有不同的面類（包括我最愛的生面！），還有營多!!! *v* 馬上立了兩包 XDD 之後還有奶茶包 =] 雖然不是Lipton，不過都夠頂癮！好開心哦～～為什麼不早點來這裡呢？我們可以不用去WalMart/Meijer喇!!

回程的時候覺得跟sherman真的好近，只是沿著fifth street就返到，路程就只需要一首楊宗煒的再見我的愛人就搞掂～嘩哈哈～～

好！哂冷！

蝦子面是否只有香港才有呢？

16th Saturday @ UIUC

四月廿六是英文老師Dustin的Yoga Party日子，這個yoga party好有意義的啊，入場只需USD12（沒有稅要計啊:p）就可以有一餐飯+Yoga lesson+lecture+bonfire+jam session，而且可以做善事，為印度西北部一個rural area的yogi girls' schools籌款！原來USD12就夠她們吃整整一個月喇！

dustin 親自車我們去位於urbana的yoga centre，出席的有我、肥ken、台灣交大來的winnie和jenjee，然後還有dustin的女朋友 - chengsi (Dustin怎麼諗都諗不好她的名字啊XDDD)。沿途上大家談笑著好高興呢！原來在urbana那邊有一個dense apartment的啊，那麼房子都好漂亮，而且都有個小花園，屋與屋密密麻麻的，不像在chamaign那邊的loose！

一下車我們就被這個環境所吸引，這裡是我想過的退休式生活啊！！雖然比較遠比較偏，不過好安靜，而且附近有田有地，可以自己種自己搵食！我不是對田園效區抗拒啊，如果可以好像這裡一樣安靜有規劃我會好響往喇！嘻嘻，大家看看我身後的農夫啊！:)

然後，Dustin又帶我們去他的房子去，那叫做octagon的房子，是一個五角形屋頂的小房子。他住在二樓，有一條小樓梯，不過那是木造的，一點也不差！Dustin房裡面不過是亂了一點，其實都好正好舒服的啊！這樣原始的房間裡面住一定好舒服的啊！好羨慕呀！在香港哪可以找到類似的地方呢？

然後，Dustin又帶著我們幾個去參觀他的neighbourhood。他隔離住了一個architect的！他房子是屈機的，簡直就幾乎自吸自足的喇！屋後面有一set的太陽能發電板，還有一個風力發電機，還有一個小水塘，以及一個用來做decomposition的小石缸！這樣的房子好吸引呀！當然，他們都會用一點electric/water supply啦，不過這樣的房子都節省了不少！不過，如果本身做architect的，這樣的設計當然可以啦，自己設計已可以省下昂貴的設計成本，然後自己動手做，雖然辛苦了一點，不過可以省回工人工資，又可以得到成功感！讀archi的朋友你加油喇！XDDD我遲ｄ都想要咁既屋呀～唔該哂 :p


左邊這條小溪是那個architect造出來的啊！！屈機的！這條小溪最後就會連接著我身後這條小河的喇！我們跟河流拍照，可惜膽小如鼠的我拍完後不知怎樣離開，因為踏著的石都斜斜的，結果dustin唯有跟我拍照啦 XDD

接著趕著五時正去做yoga! 我們跑去這間yoga centre做yoga，初初以為yoga是以前在St paul玩過的玩意，做些超難的動作，但原來這個yoga是不同的啊！聽winnie說，Yoga分了好多門派（好像中國功夫那般吧），而這裡的派別是最注重meditation的！meditation即是spiritual training那些。

今天教我們yoga的是一個Dada，好可愛的名字呢！這裡有dada+didi，yogi dada就像天主教的father啦，didi就是mother，而dada和didi二人都不能跟任何人結婚，因為結婚以後就不能concentrate的喇！Dada好好人，好慈祥啊～他全身都穿上橙色的衣服，帶著我們做一些基本的yoga，不過幾個練習我都不能進入feel your own soul的狀態；還有那個yogi dance好難做，講求手腳的協調的啊，ken一聽到就帶著懷疑的眼光看著我，事實上我又真的欠缺身體的協調... =[

之後我們返回octagon吃一餐全部自己種自己煮的vegetarian meal！那些面包都好好味好彈牙啊！蔬菜都好新鮮呢！這餐雖然是vegetarian meal不過都真的好好味，那個lasagna好好味，好freah的啊！有tofu有tomato source好夠味 *v*

我們就這樣由天光玩到天黑。然後吃過飯，我們就再去yago centre聽一個由mainjurii講的lecture，是關於她去到india umanivas學校的體驗。那間學校是由didis開的，為那邊的小女孩和孤兒提供免費的教育，還有免費的食宿。雖然住的地方環境很差，好像老人房間那種殘舊，不過她們還很高興的！課室以外都沒有桌椅，她們平日坐在地下上面溫書，好乖巧呢！今晚的USD12 就夠她們吃一整個月喇！

最後，我們去玩bonfire，Dustin（yogi name: Dhruva）帶來firework～這個bonfire是真正的bonfire啊，用木來燒的啊！*v*
好正呀！！

今天認識的幾個美國人都好好人，所以臨走前dustin跟我們說：So you may think that at least some Americans are nice :) 對啊，dustin真的好好人，連我和肥ken幾乎堂堂遲到都沒有一句責罵！*v* 今天真的沒有來錯啦～

It's an amazing today! With a first Yoga class+meditation, vegetarian dinner, nice Indian girls' school presentation, followed by a bonfire. Meet a lot of nice Americans and know more about Yoga! It's not like what we learn in HK, far different from that! I think what Yoga I learn today should be the most "traditional" one. It includes spiritual training. It's so so so happy to have been here with Dustin! I realli enjoy this night with all people ard! The environment is lovely, having country-like stuff. The solar driven house is incredible too!

Anyway, it's really late now. Time to sleep. Will talk more about it later. :)

16th Friday @ UIUC

下星期是最後一星期上課喇，唉，我覺得我的一月二月日子都不知飛到哪裡去，然後好快就三月，接著不知怎的又到四月了；十六個星期在UIUC的生活好高興呢！最開心的是OS class，professor教得超好（當然指lawrence啦！），學到的都好實用，是我讀了三年大學覺得最最有用的一個course！功課又不算爆難，不過又算學到野，真的好值得讀呀！

今天下課後，跟肥ken去了Main Quad附近的catering貨車買lunch吃。這個貨車式的catering是十分有名的啊，個個食完都讚好，雖然上次買了那個texas burger比預期中差，不過今天推出friday special是另一有名氣的burger，所以我們二人都買了fish burger。真的超讚呀！那個fish fillet炸得剛剛好，好脆好夠味，又不像是剛炸好，雖然夠脆但不是十分熱辣辣，入口剛剛好！爽呀！*v*

之後ken去Union入數，發生了一件趣事，USD20可以搖身一變成為USD100 @0@ 且看明天如何。XDDDD

16th Wednesyday @ UIUC

昨天有史以來最遲睡喇，早上五時才去睡，就是為了new york+DC的酒店hostel；我們亦都太遲book喇，其實可以有些更好的房子的啊，可惜都錯過了，不過現在都不算太差，每晚USD40/head，都算做節儉喇。（車！慳慳埋埋都唔夠去一個disneyworld...）

今天亦都有史以來最再起床喇，我和肥ken兩個經常睡到十時許十一時，今天我九時半就起床喇，為的是去做architectural survey搵我的lunch回來啊！！這個architectural survey為時四十五分鐘，價值USD8 = HKD64左右啦，其實跟中大價差不多。survey裡面有MC+閱讀理解（我其實沒有認真看那篇文章的啊！），做完之後其實我都有點內疚啊...

之後由south quad走過去engineering quad，突然覺得今天好有朝氣啊！街上好多人，天氣好好，陽光普照，這種天氣只有在這樣的小城巿才找到的啊，所以，來這裡真的沒有錯！臨上堂前在seibel centre的CS information counter看到有cookies+樽裝水送，於是偷了些來吃～嘻 *v* 這堂critique UIUC blue-print，好喜歡聽人critique code，尤其不是自己寫的code! XDD

今天吃飯又好便宜呀，在mechanical engineering building外面有個賣hot dog的counter，兩個人都只需USD3，買了四個hot dog+2 POP = USD3（註：兩個人份量啊！）！嘩！這個價錢在美國真是罕有！就這樣，我的USD8只用了其中USD 3/8，嘻嘻～儲到錢的感覺真好！（車！慳慳埋埋都唔夠去disneyworld啦！）

剛才準備東京之旅時候看到這個日本相機網頁，都算幾update啦，然後又找到這個canon 相機對照！我未來美國的時候心儀Canon 850很久的喇，可惜找了整個十二月都找不到（那些水貨店不想去呢... 感覺很差），根據這個日本相機網頁發現日本都有貨啊！好啦，如果我去到新宿機雞舖看到就買下你啦！*v*

晚上終於一嘗dorm food的滋味，其實都不是那麼差勁啦，只不過比較不健康罷。可以想像成為頹的ruby tuesday啦，有扒有生果有飯有芝士mashed potatoes，餐餐這樣都幾想死！我、ken、hednry三個sherman頹友第一次嘗試dorm food喇，幾開心！跟久未見面的frank和connie一齊吃個靚飯，frank皮膚真的黑多了喇！因為要吃飯，我和ken二人遲了足足一個小時上課，之後給人一直問：where have you two been? 唔... 應該說是一個party吧 XDD

然後日前預約的兩本小說又到手喇，分別是five people you meet in heaven (Mitch Albom) 和Can you keep a secret? (Sophie Kinsella)。Sophie kinsella是我近期因為shopaholics而喜歡的一個作者，雖然故事無聊的很，可是我就是喜歡這樣無厘頭的故事，哈哈～剛看了廿頁，對呀，又是那些女主角好差勁但又有個好鬼勁秋的男朋友那些「無啦啦整達啦」式故事。

PS. 今天Dorm有冷氣喇，開著冷氣真的好鬼舒服！*v*

好眼訓呀:( 剛剛上完numerical method，好有趣的SVD decomposition，原來還可以用來做image compression，好過癮呀！！這樣的numerical method越來越有趣喇，沒有後悔讀numerical method之意，我覺得這個course看到的比在中大讀numerical method學得到更多呢！

終於揀到FYP了，應該會跟will ng做out guessing sysyem，有點類似data-mining的，就是根據given某些書而估user會喜歡什麼類型的書。大約這樣吧，希望一切順利啦！辛苦昨天幫我手諗topic的人啊，辛苦了! >3<

這幾天都好像好趕的日子，好像突然跟香港的東西連接埋就將生活節奏加快了；這証明了我的exchange生活差不多完結喇... T_T

16th Monday @ UIUC

I'm now in the Grainger Engineering Library, the biggest library I have ever been. This's where I always stay except the Seibel Centre. I like the wide windows here. As the weather gets better and better, the grass outside the library are green-er than ever. You can smell their pretty, fresh smell just walking by.

Anyway, I'm still working on the MP6 of the Operating System. The simple webserver is running, but it can't load images. It's so STRANGE that it can't read the same number of bytes as I asked for. Can't figure out what's wrong there. Maybe I'll ask TA later in Session period. Or could Ivan figure out that?

I'll be having exam next saturday then. 2 exams within 8 hours, each lasts for 3 hours. I just think it's a AL exam which I havent taken before.... It's so harsh...

Wednesday comes soon. It'll be better to settle the FYP stuff and the NY hostel booking by tomorrow.

15th Sunday @ UIUC

終於75%完成TCP server喇，還有一點點bug，不知怎的load不到image出來，可能是因為read images不能byte by byte?又或者是我本身program有問題？千萬不要是後者！先放上newsgroup問問人再算吧。這個TCP server應該算是IEG3310的應用，不過這邊算是OS才學到的，其實真的用到很多在OS裡面學到的file read、ptr等等，現在終於算是明多一點ptr啦，今天玩得開始熟習多了！

我的英文程度沒有好轉，唯有努力看多點英文書補數，還有幾個星期，希望可以找來所有好想看的英文書看個夠，還要不用付錢的那麼就好！哈哈！！*v*

15th Saturday @ UIUC

今天出門跑步的時候天氣不怎麼好，天陰陰的以為要下雨，而天氣報告亦說50% chance of shower。後來，黃昏的時候天氣突然好多了，天晴有陽光，這樣的UI才有生氣的嘛！*v* 很多人在草地上坐或玩飛碟，不過還未有著bikini的人士出沒（應該是太陽還未很好... ）。

我們兩個去subway買了個三文治，心想坐在草地上野餐也不錯呢！誰知，我們忘記了這個地球是有蚊和蜜蜂的事實！唯有坐在草地附近的椅子罷，可惜，突然有隻惡狗出沒！！！最恐怖的是，那個主人是拉不住牠的... OH MY GOD!!!

然後，我們兩個就坐在草地上頹hae一番喇～好舒服的太陽呢！想幾想，時間無多，還有三個星期左右就得離去喇，還有多少個這樣的黃昏給我們頹幾頹呢？（雖然都已經頹足幾個月...）

晚上爸爸打來跟我吹水，看來他們真的好想念我呢！*v* 距離回港還有一段日子，他們由上星期已經開始打點，什麼時候去到雞場搭什麼車，全都想好了；他們好期待這個日子呢！相反，我就顯得越來越不痴家了，真是樂不思蜀的死女包！記得yr1的時候ken已經說我不痴家了，如今我更加變本加厲呀....

I'm in the Seibel Centre again, waiting for Ken for lunch. The weather today is as fine as yesterday, you can roll on the grass under sunshine. :)

An earthquake happened yesterday night. It's my first time of experiencing an Earth quake. It's so scary that I kept on thinking there's GHOST there. T^T Luckily, it isn't. Anyway, I am still alright. Dun worry me too much! :)

Just watching photos from IE Grad Din. The 2nd most important events (at least I regard it as most important) I missed because of exchange. T^T What a pity.

15th Thursday @ UIUC

I'm now in Seibel Centre again, a building of computer Science. I remember Prof John Lui of CU-CS dept has said this building costs a lot of money. In fact, this building is really huge and amazing. The lecture hall is so big with ample space here. Other labs here are good too. I'm now using the computer with a very wide screen (maybe double a 17 inch LCD Mon) plus a smaller 15 inch LCD mon nearby. In other words, this is triple Mon you could imagine! That's fantastic, isn't it?

Just finished the Numerical Method class, and it ended up early today. Have received my mark sheet which is pretty OK. Too easy though. Today I may want to finish the English essay which I think it's only the first draft that need not to be too serious. :p After that, I may need to revise a bit of numerical method of today's lecture though. I've forget all about Markov chain....

An important thing is that FYP topic is out. How come most of the professors don't propose topic? I have no idea of an FYP but seems most of the suggested ones aren't interesting to me... :( What should I do? In fact, I don't know what I am interested at though...

Well, another thing is that it seems I am being blocked at my dorm's port. Yesterday I can merely connect to the Internet, retrieving web-pages. So, yesterday I did many things (when compared to the last few days :p).

Anyway, need to carry on with my argumentative essay. T^T

宿舍網絡終於回復正常喇，應該是因為昨天BT得太厲害之過，超過2GB/24hours的極限，URH方面將我的房間網絡限制為32kbps，即是連十年前的56Kbps都沒有，嘩 T^T 不過如今沒有事喇，還可以繼續BT，馬上找來新鮮出爐的last friends第二集，開始看得有點悶了，這個變態男為什麼可愛的美知留不快快離開他的呢？>_<

好了，休息時間又結束，要快快溫書喇。

PS. ESL老師下星期６有party@Urbana，他還邀請了我去呢！嘩哈哈～太好喇，有yoga玩，可以練練英文，總算是來到這裡後第一個party呀 :)

Wow! Today I just used 10 minutes to tackle the numerical method. The questions are just very simple but I don't think I can get high mark in it. It's just like Cert Level Math that the simpler the questions are, the easier to lose mark!!! So, I have no hope in numerical method. :p


Have got newest update from friends. Lily is watching last friends too! last friends is really attractive that I wanna watch it again and again! :( I hope Friday comes soon so that I could watch the latest release!! XDDD And... ERG08 ocamp FatBall failed to be the leader... I do think FatBall can handle that very well...

Today need to plan for japan trip :) it's always enjoyable to plan my trip schedule. Just imagine how would it be when I'm in Tokyo, I would be so happy then! :D

15th Monday @ UIUC

第十五個星期的開始，意味著兩個星期就要結束，好像剛剛適應這裡就要離開一般，多愁善感病又發作了，我還好像未好好享受幾天不用溫書可以坐在咖啡室嘆杯mocha看看書的夢幻般外國生活，這裡的綠草好像還未生長，人家說三月" flowers're blooming " 怎麼四月依然冰凍得要開暖氣？好像未享受到這裡的春天就得離開的。

今天只遲了五分鐘上課，途中見到ivan跑得氣喘喘的去上堂，他問我：「點解你行得咁輕鬆？」，都遲開咯，無所謂啦！:p 結果，ivan給我帶著遲到了 XDDD

飯後開始mission，看完一個小chapter，基本上都學過喇，少少重溫罷了！加油！！

實在好感謝ivan啊！前幾天一直煩惱著的行李寄存問題，ivan說可以給我們三個放著帶回chicago，然後我們由washington返chicago的時候交收啦！ivan太好人喇！不得不提，ivan的媽媽真的是個剪髮高手，ivan的髮型比這裡的standard高出很多了，雖然未去到香港salon的水準，不過絕對比champaign找到的barbershop 水準高幾倍喇！如果可以，定要拜會ivan媽媽請她為肥ken整個靚頭！:p 麻煩的事總算解決了一點，不過還有些行程上的問題、住宿問題、錢銀問題最頭痛！！New york的hostel近manhattan便宜的都幾乎滿了，要星期三前解決喇！T-T

好，先解決numerical method再KO日本、東岸之行！

*** 東岸最新消息：連溫書都未試過這般專心呀！整整一小時什麼都好像沒有入腦，只管找這找那，由new york的hostel到DC的hostel，如無意外NY的應該不太大問題吧希望，DC的呢，我看中了後一分鐘已經由有vacancy變為沒有喇！天呀！！！這間hotel實在太正，有三人房，又夠便宜！真是手快有手慢無！/_\

14th Sunday @ UIUC

昨天做完運動累到不堪，吃過飯就倒下去睡到不醒人事，可惜好夢給媽媽的電話吵醒了... 之後太精神了，於是找來趕功課的小kenken一起看倩女幽魂～這是我和kenken第一套看的電影，地點當然是UC Lib啦！哈哈，不過那次沒有太多時間，看了四十五分鐘就得離去。想不到這套未完成的電影會在美國完成，還要是正版廣東話版呢！

今天起來大約是... 十二時許啦，溫完餘下的numerical method，其實都是頹溫，心早已經飛到手頭上的幾本故仔書和劇集上面喇！

應該今次會是離開sherman前最後一次打掃房間了，我覺得這樣噴霧式的清潔濟好好用，在香港得買來在宿舍清潔！一邊看一邊做家務，完全是得閒到死的懶人式生活！不得不介紹這套日劇，是08春季的，叫做last friends，由長澤雅美等等（眾多主角當中我只認識求婚大作戰的長澤雅美罷了... ）主演，講一些青春的故事。第一集是關於好可愛的長澤雅美跟男朋友同居後一日才發現男朋友變態的面目！實在有家歸不得之下幸而有一直暗戀可愛的長澤雅美的lesbian上野樹里收留。這套是逢星期四放映的啊，即是說要連續追十個星期喇，亦即是說我去到日本之時好大機會可以收看到啦！*v* （注意：即是又要準時十點乖乖坐到電視前，又要聽得明才好... 但jamjam說過二級都未必聽得明日劇的內容啊... T-T)

14th Saturday @ UIUC

一向星期六都是我的運動日，自從建立了這個好習慣，我就喜歡了跑步，還有做各樣的weight train，做完運動清減了的感覺真好！記得以前year1 PE missy miss Leung說過她對做運動的感覺，就是血液都好像乾淨了，我感覺沒那麼誇張，不過真的覺得有點不同。

好，今天成績是6 * 200m左右，跑到第二個圈的時候居然抽筋.. 然後幾個圈都不能再跑得那麼輕鬆。然後weight train不斷玩dumbbell，我發現我身體上沒有一處的雞肉啊，多悲哀！所以不斷練，希望將手上的byebye肉變「堅固」一點；今天試了幾部新機，上次的fing腰機不斷有人使用，但有部修hip的機不錯不錯，做完之後感覺好軟 T_T

希望返港後每個星期都可以做一做運動啦，其實可以由家跑至藍田啊，反正走路都是20mins而已！可以找tracy一齊跑步！！不過，最好當然可以好似U of I那樣每個星期跑圈做weight train啦！

14th Friday @ UIUC

嘩，這樣又過多一日，差不多完結了14/18的UIUC生活耶，有點捨不得之餘，更加有點煩惱。因為我們已經定下所有的機票，我將會七號晚上十時考完最頹的numerical method，ken及hendry會於八號下午四時半考完試，然後第二天馬上乘車往orlando，開始為期十天左右的end of term敗家洗錢大行動！即是19號才返回champaign。原本所有東西進行得如火如荼，可惜，sherman最遲十一號要搬遷，否則物件一件不留，因為人去就不再是sherman的住客，所以連行李都沒有得寄存！！（這樣做好過份呀！）而summer housing十二號才開波，大佬，使唔使咁趕盡殺絕先？經過一輪苦思之後，現在方法有二，一是找一個熟人然後八號晚上將所有東西temporarily寄存一下，然後回來的時候再取，不過誰會在這些時間留在UI? 唯有向postgrad埋手；二是去UHaul self-storage，USD90 可以放一個月，每人除開都是USD30啦，算可以吧...

下星期二mid term numerical method，matrix東西教得不太多跟得很可以的，不過怎說我都想頹讀這科算了～餘下的日子，就讓我看多點東西啦，因為這幾天不斷談起金錢、經濟東西，覺得很多都很有趣呢，可以看多點；然而今天看到Ruby又覺得好有趣喎，又想看看試試！

為慶祝昨天炒了461的mid term，kenken特意請我食勞比星期二，炒左都有獎勵... 這次叫了杯ruby T，order了half rack rib，燒得剛剛好，好好味！*v* RT的西蘭花其實才是我的至愛，哈哈～然後去meijier超級巿場逛街，還有三個星期可以這樣罷了，要好好利用，還要看幾套戲：A besutiful Life、How to lose a guy in 10 days，明天要借到！YO！

看到大家UC Photoday的相片，好掛住你地呀！>_< 我要組聚組聚，要影貼紙相要玩射籃球，你地遲ｄ個個返工得我一個人自己同自己玩咋，要趁你地都未有工做既時候同你地玩多ｄ！見到大家咁開心，好想同你地都影埋一份，噴你地香檳架；唔知出年有咩人會同我影相呢？我會唔會得返自己一個人架 T-T 出年我既photoday大家一定要黎同我影相呀！

14th Thursday @ UIUC

在U of I這邊，幾乎每個星期總會有幾天是下雨的，上星期一啦，然後到今個星期三開始。今天出門時候下得很大呢，橫風橫雨，走到Siebel Centre就全身濕透喇！！

今天numerical method教計數，因為下星期二mid term II的關係，75分鐘的課都用來做exercise，我反而覺得這樣學到更多哦... 可能因為自小我的數學都由練習開始做起啦，這邊著重你自己的思考多於做練習，有時候看似好簡單的theorem，雖然你以為你明白，但其實都是一知半解。

本來6pm考mid term，不過因為我寧願早點考好過遲點考（不想拖到這麼遲，識就識唔識都係唔識啦！），於是330pm頹考就算。今次比上次深多了，有幾條不會答，有些寫了都不知會否有滿分，過mean就好了.. T_T

之後fedora information session，嘩～好多pizza和pop呀！=) 最喜歡去information session，既有free dinner又有free drink有些更有free tee! 這些tee是留著去東岸時候用的，我們哪有那麼多衫替換到十日，用著這些頂住！雖然考試失利，不過這個information session挺有趣，認識fedora深一點，雖然不是technically。

哎，時間所餘無幾，覺得自己有點愧對這個exchange，好像達不到預期的self-improvement，tracy，我做不到之前的promise啊... 我會否在這餘下的幾星期裡面達到啊？請支持我啦 /_\

不順利事件１：Orlando Disneyland的planning package已經過了兩個星期了，依然未到，雖則話兩至三星期，不過等得連我都以為是否填錯地址要再request多次。

不順利事件２：ESL兩個星期後有present，是argumentative essay，沒有好topic，又未寫過thesis/essay，寫什麼作什麼啊！！

不順利事件３：FYP matching開始了，雖然有好partner，不過我沒有好topic，想做security的東西（因為在這邊讀security實在讀得比較開心過癮），但又沒有頭緒

不順利事件４：明天security midtermII，好煩！/_\

好不想工作呢，好像好多東西都等著救命 /_\

14th Monday @ UIUC

哎呀，不經不覺還有四個星期就考試，還有五個星期就去東岸耶，哎呀呀！！你個死女包快點將時間追回來才好！

這幾天聽桑田佳佑的歌，首首都好好聽，求婚大作戰的主題曲「明日晴」啦、聽風的詩歌、Darling啦，好好聽 =] 雖然不明白歌詞是什麼意思，不過很喜歡那些melody呢！桑田佳佑的唱腔都好搞鬼，嘻嘻。

今天天氣很好，現在時間為下午一時半，外面陽光普照，在quad草地上很多人扒著看書玩，這樣才有大學的感覺嘛！這幾天收到我早前寄出的postcardssssss，很奇怪為什麼接二連三收到自己寄出的postcards呢，原來是因為這邊mail address是由電腦讀取，如果地址放在左上角或者在postcard最下方的一個都會被讀成目標地址，可惜我最後的位置是我的住址，所以就不斷收到自己的郵件喇... OMG!! 所以，寄出的postcards將會更遲，不便之處敬請原諒.

晚上繼續無聊的ESL，繼續這四個人雞同鴨講的group project，其實，indian的英文連導師Dustin都聽不明白啊... 結果，今天present的時候，我什麼準備都沒有底下就講了些不知名的introduction+conclusion，完全沒有intro.及conclusion的效果！最厲害的是indian的point重覆了幾遍都好，其他人都不明白，所以最後沒有Q&A可言，這做法果然夠絕！

唉，我英文又差了 =[

13th Saturday @ UIUC

今天天氣好正呀！！下午的時份簡直可以穿著短衫短褲外出都不怕著涼，在south quad, main quad都有好多人玩飛碟、看書，這樣的生活未免太正喇！

我們的生活還是做運動，不過今天神奇地租到Racquetball court，於是將所有weight train訓練、拉筋訓練推開一邊，不過，臨打波前我還有跑了四個圈的步啊:p (tracy,下次約你跑步你一定被我拖住走!!!XDDD)

Racquetball其實我們都不會打，ken用他一貫的squash打法，而我繼續用雞手鴨腳打法:p 打完一小時後，前臂有點痛呢，應該是因為從來都沒有訓練過這舊雞肉喇 T_T

今天晚上收到兩通電話，幾乎同一時間打來的啊，那時候是我剛剛洗完澡啊... 先是媽媽打來，然後是alice她們呢～好高興啊收到你們電話，好久沒有這麼笑過喇T_T 雖然我不想回來香港（果然是樂不思蜀的死女包!!），不過好想跟你們傾電話啊... 其實我不算8卦啦，都不是真的很多8卦消息罷了...

PS. 今晚得到了桑田佳佑的精選CD，再聽求婚大作戰的主題曲，幾時聽都咁好聽*v* 這首歌是我去年暑假時聽得最多的啊，突然又想起去年暑假的情景。嗯，最難過的都過去喇 :)

昨晚又大昏迷，事情是這樣的，昨晚明明看security notes的嘛，誰知悶得要死，一個又一個security model，未計principle都已經有6張slides，principles根本就是吹水嘛... 看了一遍就不支倒下。及後繼續關燈眠，一直眠到今朝... =[

好，今天繼續溫書，真的好頹的呢，那些security model、security principle、trusted model好像來來去去都是common sense，你說這樣做就這樣做囉，最多想想你有什麼好什麼不好，為什麼要記呢？！？！T_T

連續幾天吃萬家香，這是一間在這邊算是幾有味道的中國餐館，味道雖不能與香港的比較，不過算不錯了！老闆是馬來西亞人，可以講廣東話，而且他又經常有幾款介紹。最重要的是，就算我們兩個人share一碟菜，在他角度都不會罵我們，應該連他都認為我倆細食／菜式份量大，有湯有飽飯有茶兩個人都不過十元美金，都算幾抵喇！

未來幾天champaign回暖喇~ 這裡有好像california一樣的溫度喇！未來三天最高62F-68F，即是差不多16-22C啦～快點回暖我就可以穿得輕鬆多點！嘻嘻！*v*

今天的英文堂驚險萬分，落堂後更加令人頭痛！:'(

首先，今天group discussion，題目新鮮不在話下，組員有：兩個香港人、一個mexican（雖然幾靚仔！）、一個印度人。題目是：should government subsidize crop growth? 什麼什麼？我一點知識都沒有，所以亂吹了一會就算；mexican的英文還算聽得懂，不過比香港式的英語難聽一點；印度的英文... 簡直令我不敢相信我是在這個地球上生活的啊 T_T 好像是外星話，他的說話裡面，除了我的名字之外，我其他都聽不明白... =[

英文堂的project，要合力做一份presentation，如果用文字對話應該會好一點。嗯。

13th Tuesday @ UIUC

嘩，昨天晚上大昏迷呀！食完飯十時許左右上床打算小睡一下結果睡到今天的上午十時！足足有十二小時之久！期間醒了一下，打算六時起床做功課溫書啦，結果不省人事！！今天要不是因為要上堂的緣故，我想我應該不能起床的了耶。

今天沒有事做，上numerical method還好啦，不算太差，遲多一兩堂會教eigenvalue，已經忘記得一乾二淨喇 XDD 要不是前幾堂回顧matrix, determinant的basic operation我想這些知識我又會失憶的喇... security堂又是好悶，白日夢中所以聽不明professor nicole的講課 T_T 然後，又在準備我的東京之旅，這個旅程比東岸的還要好玩呢！

報告一下現在的行程，我們將會五月二十一日由champaign出發在去過次都不想再去多次的detroit再轉機往東京narita空港，然後乘narita express（今天剛發現有特價啊！節省了百多元港紙 :p）往池袋去，我們頭兩天會落腳在池袋的貴袋旅館（lonely planet都有介紹的經濟旅館），那裡有tatami啊～今天發現原來池袋附近都有溫泉（豐島園），而且幾有名，晚上九時後入場半價！！東京之旅還要去outlet、築地、maid cafe、秋葉原、新宿，嘩～光想想都已經好興奮喇！*v*

今天終於完成手頭上的英文書: shopaholic takes manhattan，這本書看到我也有點嬲，為什麼女主角becky會爛買得這樣，不斷買買買，不顧後果不理會有沒有用的呢？但是每次買到破產都總可以有解決方法啊？太好彩喇！

書的中段講到becky跟男友luke感情面臨危機，二人的事業出現問題，其實我都猜想到內鬼是誰的喇，不過看著becky怎樣處理危機怎樣解決金錢問題也算有趣的。當然，故事最後是大團圓結局啦，否則又怎會有shopaholic ties the knot和shopaholic and the baby等等的續集呢？

故事由英國人sophie kinsella寫的，不明白為什麼英國人都會對美國好羨慕：在英國成功不好，要在美國成功才算得上成功？英國購物沒有美國好嗎？英國人真的沒有美國人那麼有禮（美國人都不見得好禮貌罷了...）？

好簡單的一本書，接著會繼續完成shopaholic ties the knot。*v*

星期六好悠閒，一覺睡到中午十二時半，一點內疚都沒有。今天是Earth Hour，即提倡要愛護地球節約能源，所以google.com變成了黑版的darkgoogle，將1的pulse變為0 pulse，提醒大家要慳電！當然，美國好需要這種意識啦，大部份美國人一點也不環保，什麼環保意識都沒有，去walmart買東西膠袋三個當一個使，平日日日買水膠樽可以日日掉，餐廳碗筷可以洗完再用偏要用用完即棄的；環保嘛，對他們來說好像就是要提倡然後叫其他國家的人去實行，自己就坐著等收成。不論怎樣，今天要環保嘛，我臨出門做運動的時候都將電腦關掉，暖氣（因為今天陽光很好，不用暖氣房間都好暖啦）和廁所燈都關了。

今左跑步舒暢，跑了大約七至八個200m啦，應該都差不多夠一里跑，如果我從前都這樣train，應該體鍛當時至少升一個sub-grade... 太遲喇 T_T

今晚plan東岸和日本東京之旅，嘩，好興奮啊，我要去東京的premium outlet買袋(斜咩袋上次在assembly hall看球賽給當地工作人員弄花了...)買衫買女士恩物*v*～好！為了未來的為食之旅，我又是時候要節食喇 =[ 好消息：今天的肚腩在剛才跑步的時候居然消失了～嘩哈哈！

12th Friday @ UIUC

今天遲了二十分鐘上OS，錯過了lawrence的二十分鐘；自從那個白頭大叔接手教Unix I/O之後，我才發現lawrence已經教得好好喇！今天是lawrence，上課還突然有powerpoint handout（幸好ivan幫我們取了，謝謝ivan），萬分驚喜。

由於OS LMP1已經給我清了（一題，餘下的留給組員做好了XDD），numerical method未出新功課，今天都是無無聊聊小睡一下又一天，然後著手搞民歌團網頁，現在都應該接近40%的喇；還有寫了封cover letter，寫來寫去都不太滿意啊，嗯 =[

今天晚上長途跟ivan傾電話，有人指點迷津真好，ivan幾時帶我去深圳食小肥羊呀 T_T 我不要什麼四川新疆的餐廳，讓我食多次小肥羊再算啦！

These few days I can feel the smell of spring here in UIUC
especially just before I sleep...
I can't tell how the smell is like, but I do smell the difference between those in Spring, in Summer, in Fall.
After all, it's spring now in Champaign though it's just around 7/8C here...

Suddenly, I wanna drink "leung cha" here
ken has brought "5 flowers tea" here but I just miss the smell of all the herbs being boiled together
maybe i'm just too thirsty now XDDD

yesterday I've finished the OS LMP1 question4. It takes less time when compared to that I used last time. Though it takes about 2 hours to finish a programming assignment which is quite long in some sense.
But, I feel better to write program than last time.
Maybe I havent been programming for quite a long time. Maybe a year or two.
Those programming assignments I met in IE were not too difficult especially the one in software programming course....
I can't imagine they're the project... (that only takes me for half a day to KO... a lot of references provided)
Anyway, I just think I can't write program until now
What am I going to do in the rest of my life?

Well... today read a good advertisement. I guess I won't try that at the end. Yup.

今天趁著下午的空閒時間終於一口氣寫完上星期加州夢幻之旅的日記喇，其實有好多東西想寫下的，不過沒有時間喇，而且為了寫這幾篇日記都已經寫到我快要倒斃，實在很累的！還有些相片放在picasa裡面，都很精彩的啊～

這個星期比較閒，不過下星期開始要溫書喇，兩個星期後有security mid termII；另外還要完成之前一直想做的！不過，今天讓我完成OS的LMP1吧！

今天為了extra credit而去了solaris 10 DTrace講座，一見到有jimmy john sandwich就好開心喇～這是間很好吃的sandwich呀～平時的information session只是有pizza，今天是好好味的JJ sandwich *v* 兩件都好好吃！美中不足的是只有iced tea供應，應該要有coke/pepsi才過癮。這個講座有點太長，其實我了解完什麼是DTrace、看到少少demo就夠喉了，今天太多的demo有點吃不消。

結果返去上英文堂，今堂繼續跟taekuen peer review，他說我的文章好「textbook」... 即是怎樣？他還告訴我，Korean Sushi比Japanese Sushi更好吃... 但是我在香港吃到的似乎japanese sushi好吃一點喔。傾閒計的兩個亞洲人，相比ken的debate三人組，我覺得這樣才有英文堂的味道。XDDD

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day7

因為要趕住830am的車前往Zoo，所以起床起得及時，並且吃到早餐，進步喇！*v* 這間pam pam restaurant價錢跟房裡面的menu不一，貴多了，不過真的好full! 可以兩個人share的喇，為什麼我想不起呢？

之後出發往ZOO，司機叫我們記住要坐tour遊公園，好啦，我們買了best value ticket，好抵，bus tour+skyfari tram+express tour，可以玩得好興奮喇！*v* 我們首先坐上bus tour跟著司機導遊看動物，看到一頭大象正在排毒.. 好臭呀！T_T

時間不夠，只能走馬看花的看動物，好多奇怪的動物，亦有好多都幾乎絕種了。有一隻好大好大的貓，好巨型，應該是會食人的貓，牠見到人的時候會不斷瞪大雙眼想吃掉你的樣子... 都說貓是恐怖的動物啦！T_T

還有好多可愛的小動物。這裡的熊貓館很受歡迎，要排隊的，其實海洋公園都有，為什麼要在這邊看呢？還有些猴子們，經常在打架的！

我們由九時走到十二時，最後乘了三次skyfari tram，好好玩！第一次我還有點怕，第二次開始定了一點，第三次已經可以完全望到下面的景色了～掌聲鼓勵 *v*

1:30pm，我們完成了Zoo的走馬看花，趕車回到Hotel吃個便飯就往Sea World出發。由於時間有限，Sea World裡面只能夠看光所有的show就要離去。我們以為4D電影應該好有質素啦，誰知這套sesame street垃圾一樣！笑位久奉，最叻就是噴水，將你全身弄濕... 完全無趣...

之後去的幾個show都不錯，例如海獅、海豚和鯨魚表演。跟海洋公園最不同的地方是，這裡的show千萬不要坐前，否則那些動物會將你弄得全身濕透。不過，表演實在好精彩呢！

最後，我們去了San Diego Downtown吃個最後的晚餐結束我們七天的旅程，明天就要返回champaign那個寒冷的地方，那邊下著雪的時候加州還是陽光普照的啊！T_T

San Diego Downtown好繁榮，好多酒店好多pub，很多酒鬼在附近，所以嘈雜得很。我吃得太多扒類了這個星期，所以建議吃一間Thai restaurant，這裡氣氛不錯，還有Meal Set介紹，每人都是二十元左右，幾抵食！有前菜沙律主菜白飯，帶少少辣，不過好好味啊，已經很久沒有嚐過這麼有獲氣的炒蝦喇！*v*

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day6

今天在clarion hotel吃了個早餐，這裡的早餐不是太好，那個煮早餐的工人給人罵了，我們想應該都是那些蛋炒得太乾，火腿又黑又乾吧。不過無論如何，都算不錯的早點啦。之後，我們去到LA著名的Union Station等火車往San Diego去。Union Station好漂亮的建築啊，好舒服好輕鬆的～在這裡看書都不錯。

經過三個鐘左右的火車程，我們來到San Diego，登上Day's Inn的專車之後，我們發覺這間Day's Inn簡直跟南丫島的屋差不多... 難怪這麼便宜... 附近都是一片荒無，幸而問過酒店的職員後發覺這邊有一個轉車站的啊。

這裡的鐵路(MTS)是地面走的，而且月台不高，可以輕易從一邊走去另一邊；我們三番四次在月台中心拍照，有些人更有這裡談天... 鐵路樣子外觀很好很新，價錢頗貴，每程2.25，Daypass USD5一位。在San Diego處處都可以見到Spanish，如果我當初學會Spanish 多好！

我們最後選擇了去Old Town遊玩，不過去到這邊幾乎什麼都關門了，沒有吃午餐的我們結果在這裡的一間bakery買了些mexican food。吸引昨晚的教訓，我只敢點一些最普通的飽：南瓜飽，KEN的糖實在太甜，好像吃一大舊的糖蓮子一樣... 所謂的Old Town不算太大，其實好像一個九龍城寨公園，沒有太多東西逛，所以我們另覓地方醫肚。

後來，我們走到little Italy，這裡比較多Italian食肆，價錢和質素都差不多，我們隨便走入一間算了。

我們只點了兩個主菜，一個pizza+雞肉鮮茄天使面，兩個都好好吃！鮮茄天使面好有茄味，不太油膩好好味！而pizza則多cheese之餘份量適中，沒有飽到想死的感覺。最後，我們每人點了一個甜點，有cheese cake, cream brulee, tiramisu，每樣都好可口好正！*v*

然後搭車返hotel，在little italy的車站遇上不少怪人好不舒服，有一個男人問我們是否中國人，然後又說: you win you win...難道他知道kenken昨天贏到一隻Shrek BB時候給人家大叫一聲：winner？然後又有一個男人古古怪怪走路慢慢的，當他坐著的時候將收音機的喇叭遞向他身邊的日本人... what's up?!

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day5

又是因為遲起床的緣故，我們沒有早餐吃喇。其實，來到美國十居其九我都是遲起床沒有吃早餐的啊... 我什麼時候才能夠戒掉壞習慣呢？

今天由raddison hotel搬到downtown的clarion hotel，我們走了大半個鐘的路才到達，OMG! 我們心想怎麼辦呢，難道今晚都要這樣走又遠又偏的路嗎？真的很不是味兒，雖然這間hotel房間較monte carlo好看，不過好遠啊，怎麼辦啊？

幸而，最後我們在hotel staff的指點迷津之後找到這麼的metro station，然後順利到達universal studio喇～注意，我到現在都未識看地圖認路的啊，好像兩個大人拖著一個小朋友趕路的樣子... 真的好抱歉啊！

第一站是4D Shrek，從未看過shrek的我還覺得這套好好看呢！然後我們又到了Jurassic Park裡面，那個有海洋公園滑浪的東西，我全程都只在哭呀哭（因為我有好嚴重的畏高，還要人越大越怕！），裡面什麼都沒有看到，什麼恐龍流水我都沒有看到，我只在驚在哭而已。身邊的小妹妹看我看得O了咀... 最後衝的時候時間好長，我感覺到好多free fall的時間啊 T_T


結果，我們三人玩這個Jurrasic Park都玩得好驚險，Hednry坐在第一行最外面濕得最多，他為保護護照結果臨沖的時候將所有証件都放入袋裡面，可惜BNO不幸放不及，一直沖一直舉起BNO為其宣傳！我一直捉緊kenken的頸項不放好擔心高度。kenken的腰已死，連頸都差點給捏斷.... 之後，兩份男士知道我畏高得很就不再敢讓我玩有高度free fall會驚的遊戲了... 幸而在universal studio這裡只有兩個。

接著，我們趕去那些shows，看到好多movie making的技巧，最特別的是那個fire making的場面！好逼真！那個demo是有真火有爆炸場面，在爆炸的時候頭頂上的攔干會掉下來的，倒嚇了我一下！


之後去合家歡劇場，有好多在電影出現過的動物表演，有班點狗有猩猩有豬，好可愛 *v*

最後，我們在universal studio這裡拍照後就得離開喇！臨走前ken玩了那些小遊戲換禮物，明明掟中三個才有禮物，ken居然中了兩個，換來的是樣衰至極點的shrek BB！！太嘔心喇！

Universal Studio的票可以08年全年入場，如果誰會去Universal Studio可以問我，我可以借票給你入場啊～再不然可以網上拍賣*v*

之後再搭車去hollywood那邊，因為時間不夠未能去beverly hill一趟，不過，我們誤打誤撞之下去到hollywood的星光大道，這邊好破爛啊... 我們找來找去都只認識michael jackson這位巨星，如果去musuem參觀那麼將會好發呆的。

最後，我們在一間mexican fastfood 吃了個晚餐，好難食呀！T_T 那些burrito / taco / rice為什麼要加那些怪味的香草，還要是酸的？！真難想像王志焯去到mexico會吃得好... 就這樣，我們的夢幻頹廢春假之旅的第五天又完結了。

PS. LA的metro station是沒有閘的，即是你沒有買票都可以上車，而且車上沒有人check票的，美國人真聽話...

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day4

今天在麥當勞吃了個頹早餐，不知不覺在food court居然睡著了，整晚沒有睡了，很累很累 T_T 然後起來搭的士，付了$15元，司機一句thank you就將三個大洋的貼士都沒收了，真無奈。

太早去到機場，呆等了個多小時，不過一切順利，在機上不停在睡呀睡，睡到連飲品都沒有點，我明明好想飲蘋果汁嘛！一落機我們三人馬上去radisson hotel check-in，這個酒店勝在夠近LAX，而且附近又有轉車站，今天行程是去LA著名的Santa Monica。*v*

洗完個澡就去subway吃了個頹頹的午餐，這間subway比champaign的貴了一點，還要沒有fresh value meal! value meal每個只是USD4+tax，算便宜的喇！不過，這間有心心的vanila coke，可惜有vanila跟沒有幾乎沒有分別。

出發往santa monica需時約一小時，對於美國的scale來說已經好近！這個沙灘比香港的好，陽光更加燦爛，而且沒有那麼嘈雜那麼多人，不過沙不是太幼，在沙上走有時都幾痛。不過，好久沒有這樣曬太陽喇！*v*我又曬黑了一點喇...

不過，躺在這裡都有點冷，還是要多穿一件外套才行。我們買了飛碟玩，好好玩，第一次玩不過還可以飛和接到我也算不錯的喇！可惜最後玩到穿魚蛋，被迫暫停了。不過，都差不多黃昏了，我們走到santa monica的pier那邊看日落。真是夕陽無限好，只是近黃昏呀，走過去不消五分鐘，太陽已經由一個咸蛋黃消失了，快到O咀。

在這邊逛了一會，入黑了我們就開始覓食喇。這裡有間shrimp restaurant，除了這間以外都沒有其他比較經濟的喇，不過這間幾好，不過嘈雜了些。我們點了那個bread waffle的甜點好好吃，上面是ice cream + cream下面是熱熱的waffle，三隻餓鬼不出五分鐘就吃光了。

今天行程好舒服，為了明天的universal studio努力呀！嘻嘻！！

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day3

今天起床我是賴床的，記得ken叫醒我的時候說：再唔起身冇得去大峽谷喇，我說：唔去喇。幸而最後都成功出發！五時半起床是很累的啊！

乘車沒有頭暈沒有作嘔，因為我會暈車浪的啊！往大峽谷的途中在Hoover Dam下車，據說那是為了供應las vegas居民食水用的，用了很多人力而建成，他們為了建成hoover dam一年只能有三天假期而已！這個dam真的很宏偉的啊！

中午時份，終於到達grand canyon的imax劇院，雖然這個imax不是3D的，不過播出來grand canyon的片段都已經好漂亮喇！這才知道原來有不少的古人都曾經為了探索一下grand canyon的景色而死的，因為大峽谷的底部有條colorado river，以前經常有大浪翻起，不知道到今時今日還有沒有呢？

今天天氣不錯，溫度平均有60F左右，不過去到大峽谷谷頂可能因為位高而下起雪來。去到south rim的national park親身看到大峽谷，感覺真的好捧！看到好偉宏的山脈，看上去每個人都只不過是那麼的一點點東西罷了。這裡有些著名的trail，不過司機說今天天氣不好，最好不要冒險！我們最後在bright angel trail附近就要止步了。

在這裡逗留了三個小時左右就要坐車回去喇，其實去大峽谷最麻煩的是太長的車程，來回足足十一個多小時！坐在旅遊巴裡面真的不太好受。不過，能夠一睹大峽的風彩都值得啦！*v*

回到las vegas已經晚上十時許，所有buffet都關了，唯有去outback steakhouse吃個扒，吸收教訓，我從今起只會叫medium的牛扒，這樣是最好吃的啊！*v* 那些mashed potato千萬不要加cream，因為會好膩的！清清淡淡的mashed potato已經好可口喇～嘻～

今天晚上，以為可以再施以chicago那招遲book酒店會更平，居然今晚全部酒店都SOLD OUT! 唯一沒有sold out的是cassar palace($300/night) 和不知名酒店一間還要只有單人床都要$200/night！價錢太貴加上已經凌晨一時許，明天又要乘早機出發去LA，所以今天晚上我們訓賭場！我們坐在monte carlo的food court，兩個男生居然可以留下一個女孩子坐在food court自己睡著的啊！幸而一切平安無恙。

PS. 想在大峽谷看景色除了可以坐交通工具外，還可以選擇mule ride，好像騎馬般在grand canyon走走看看，應該好爽！不過價錢呢，如果未有第一桶金都不要想喇XDD

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day2

第二日的旅程很愉快，最不好的都是三個中大engine頹友太懶訓喇！平日上堂睡、有書唔願溫訓覺都還可以原諒，連旅行都掛住訓睡到十一時許那就太不要得喇！

今天沒有早餐可以吃，除了因為睡得太遲之外，還因為美國這邊在星期六、日不喜歡吃早餐，這裡有BRUNCH = BReakfast + lUNCH，將早餐和午餐夾起來一齊吃，其實即是我在香港大部份時間的進食秩序 XDD 今天在monte carlo cafe點了個雞扒，不錯不錯！點了一杯mocha smoothies，一點都不像smoothies... 只不過普通的mocha罷了。(Tracy, 我經常點mocha的時候想起F先生XD)

食飽飽後我們在las vegas這邊游酒店，這裡的酒店很值得參觀，每一間都有它吸引遊客的地方（除了每間必有的賭場之外），就以Ballegio為例，它有自己的一個river，還有很多名店在酒店入面；caesar palace的廳有一個很文藝復興時期的裝飾，paris hotel有自己的巴黎鐵塔和凱旋門，屈機的！

我們到了ballegioa玩，在賭場玩了一手老虎機（代價是我和ken均給查証件，那個查証大叔應該是香港人來的，極臭串囉！）。每逢想起賭場就會記得小時候爸爸不准我賭錢，連我去澳門都會驚我賭錢，因為他自己曾經沉迷過嘛，不過，可能因為這樣我到現在連麻雀都不會打.... T_T 所以，最後我還是夾錢玩了幾舖老虎機。這是我們最後為免輸身家而中途停止賭錢取回的兩元美金。

這是在Ballegio酒店外面的人造湖喇，加上加州的陽光，好正啊～在這裡坐一個下午應該都好舒服，可惜我們時間無幾啦 T_T (更多Ballegio的相片可見picassa Day2的相簿)

之後，頹友三人組見有點累於是返酒店換房順便小睡一下，都未見過這樣頹法的旅行 -.-

之後，我們到Paris Hotel吃自助餐，這邊的自助餐平靚正，不過當然要揀間最好的啦，paris已經是最好的那幾間來的喇，所以我們等了半小時少有空位，雖然埋單差不多USD30，不過相比在香港已經平得多喇！

有沒有留意到這間酒店的天花板有什麼特別呢？它們是天空一樣的，所以可能有人會賭到忘了時間，不分晝夜的賭呀！而其他裝飾都好像法國（應該是）的街道，好精彩！

因為這裡的美色太多，為免吃得太飽而錯過了什麼好色的，我們最後每人選了少少然後share，可惜我們都未能試所有好吃的東西就飽死了。這裡的凍蟹好好味，還有好好味的cream brulee，好好吃 *v* 最後我還吃多一個甜桶呢！不過，可能太為食的緣故，最後胃痛了 T_T 值得的！！

晚上到了Ballegio的湖邊看那些半小時一場的噴水show～超好看！今天活動大致如此，要準備明天早起去大峽谷啊！

補記 - Spring Break Trip Day1

數不到究竟有多少天我們沒有這麼早就起床了，幸而行李一早已經收拾好，可能去得旅行多，發現自己收拾行李快多了。不幸的是，因為近來背重死人的電腦上堂弄得肩膀痛起來，而ken則昨天彎腰時弄傷舊患腰痛得要死，我們果然是虧的....

今天天氣頗冷，昨天明明還有50F今天變成了38F，即是差不多零度喇，幸而穿了chicken mug保暖！Amtrak順利一時許到達chicago，我們再次為了那些好好吃芝士多到不能相信的pizza努力，今次吃的是出名的Gino Pizza，價錢比上一間貴多了可惜卻味道不太好，可能太多汁了，賣相已經夠差，連味道都不怎麼好。

吃完已經三時了，我們馬上出發往o'hare機場坐內陸雞往las vegas，好興奮啊 *v* 想不到三個月前我還未坐過飛雞今天已經坐到第四次喇，這是第一次坐在窗口位，看著雲層然後再上升，感覺好興奮呢！*v*

就這樣一層一層的上升，本來還看到chicago的，然後已經變成厚厚的雲層喇～

三個多小時的飛機，我們最後在西岸時間9時多到達las vegas。西岸時間比中部時間慢了兩小時，所以我們賺多了兩小時。

這個城巿真的很五光十色，很繁榮很富貴，好像來到這邊的都是有錢人家，連的士司機問都無問就多收三元左右的貼士！

找了很久酒度，最後還是monte carlo最便宜，搞掂所有東西都已經是晚上十一時許十二時了，太累了，只是跟ken share了一個cheese pizza (這邊最頹的sbarro USD4有找)就回酒店睡了。明天要吃個飽的，嘻嘻！！

holiday mood@start after spring break

obvoiusly we're still in holiday mood now...
ken's cellphone clock was still time in California, which is -2hr that in illinois
so, today both of us woke up at 11am which means my one-and-only-one class is over

today a lot of high school students were in the street, holding some oragne folders with illinois logo
maybe they're doing their interviews
we had subway for both of our dinner+lunch. now, i am a bit scared of subway
ken's sick today and we'll need some rice tmr. No more subway. :)

tonight, we have a better english lesson
being grouped with takoo, an korean, for an argumentative essay peer review
he's funny though
but i found he's a bit unsatisfy with me. He seemed to think that my English is very good... OMG... Well, let me find some way to please him next time...

Anyway, today I just did one 7 thing.
I accidentally opened up a Hi5 account and sent invitation to all people in my GMAIL list...
the worst thing is, I've sent this Chinese invitation to someone who doesnt know Chinese!!!

hey, we're back to sherman, UI now
it's a hard time today. we kept on getting on and off the flights.
you know, chicago and also the whole illinois is snowing these few days
ytd flights being delayed for an hour or two due to bad weather
luckily, our flight just delayed for half hour and the plane flied very smoothly :)
in san diego, we got on the flight late. after we got on, the plane flied after a minute or two
however, the guard in san diego said my bottle of face washer is too big... and had to be flown away... now, i have no facial wash up :(

anyway, greyhound arrived lately and we arrived champaign at 12:45am with 1-hr delay.
Now, time to sleep. Write soon.

omg! how time flies!

today we started our very tight journey with the first time of going out that early with success. cheers!

we tried the dinning service from the hotel which is quite expensive, around 7-9 per person. but they're quite delicious. the pancakes are very big and quite chewy.

then, we got on the coach from the hotel, driving us to the zoo. We saw a LOT of animals there. it's cool! after seeing them, i find it's better to be an animal keeping at the zoo than to be a person. you can sleep whenever you want. the enviornment is pretty relaxing though (from my pt of view). yet those animals may not feel the same....

anyway, at 130pm, we ought to go back to hotel and had our lunch. We had our FULL lunch at the 24hr family restaurant just next to our hotel. it's quite.... well... low price means poorer food quality. but, it's reali FULL!!!

we went on our journey to the san diego sea world. We just kept on chasing after shows... the shows are quite excellent except the one of sesame street 4D movie which is realli a rubbish! i hate sesame street forever!

After the last show, it became darkened. our spring break ends finally. this week is extremely wonderful! it would be another 1.5 mth time before our next journey - the East coast. it's so happy to travel with ken and hendry. Thanks so much for not pushing me to read maps alone. XDDD

Anyway, tonight we had a great dinner at a Thai restaurant. it's yummy! we dare not to order those dishes that are too spicy. Yet, they're quite chilly.... the soup is very sour. Luckily i ordered the salad which is quite normal.

tomorrow we'll be leaving southern california. i'll miss those buffet from las vegas (i must go there again when i have money!! ) and the prettiest sunshine here.

PS. chicago is now snowing quite heavily... what the hell....

i'm in san diego

the journey became a dramatic one today. i always think that we're so lucky that we are able to get what we reali need at last.

today, after getting out of the train, we got on another coach from the day's inn hotel. But we found it's too far away. The time was 4pm when we came to our room. it's pretty worrying though. what we've planned couldnt go on. On the other hand, we dunno how we could get out of here. The hotel here is very far away from any train stations/buses.

Luckily, the hotel receptionist directed us to the trolley station here. The train station here is a bit funny. You can walk in the railway when there's no trolley running on. A trolley is just the same as the ordinary train yet they're much newer than the one we took in the past.

Tonight we went to the old town which is quite a mexican town with bad mexican food selling. I'm afraid of mexican food after the last try in LA... they're reali disguisting. Then, we went to Little Italy which is a very famous place for dinning. The price is pretty low there, around USD11 for a pizza and max USD14 for a pasta. It's quite acceptable for us, the travellers.

Every time we are in troubles, they'll soon be solved. How lucky we are!

Just listening to conversation from ken and hendry, I dun think I can be a good programmer. I'm not that suitable to be one. What am I going to do in the rest of my career? I thought I am lost again and again.

these days we went to casino,losing our money there
yet ken won in those "tiger machine"... quite a lot!
we tried only 1 buffet@Paris hotel. it's very delicious at a cheap price~USD30
grand canyon was great! though we could only stay for 2 hour or 3 due to tight schedule
we slept in the casino in the last day cox the hotel are all occupied....

then we took the plane to LA and visit the famous Santa Monica beach, playing the disc there
it's amazing!!
unfortunately, we slept 'til 1030am the next day... our morning is vanished...
then, we went to downtown LA and settle down here @ clarion hotel
though it's cheap, it's acceptable. The Hollywood is far from expectation.... it's very poor..
the universal studio is incredibly good. we went the shrek studio, jurassic park
the jurassic park made me cry due to free fall ride at the end... i cant bear those height (it's not that high though)

anyway, time to take rest. Goodbye.

這個星期實在頹廢得很，嘩哈哈，是因為spring break來了耶～這個星期溫度上升了不少，到今天我只穿了一件中袖衫就出得街，那麼las vegas應該更horrible... 我的心心裙子又可以出來見人了～雖然只有一條... -.-

明天就出發喇，功課還是昨天的進度，因為昨天用來去urbana downtown無聊了一整個晚上，然後又開會傾spring break trip *v* 好期待啊～

9th Sunday @ UIUC

今天起床時候覺得怪怪的，明明microwave oven鐘面寫明10:47，可是梳洗完後電腦的小時鐘卻是11:47，心想應該是電腦時鐘壞了罷。去到grainger溫書，電腦+google時鐘均為6時半，怎麼ken的電腦還是5時半的呢？那時候才醒起有日照時間的啊！應該因為我調教了NTP server，所以我電腦的時間是準確的，那麼所有東西都要教早一小時啊！

這個DST為的是令日光的時間好像長一點，發生在春天的開始，只要將時鐘調前一小時即可；在冬季的開始，即十一月左右就要將時間較後一小時喇。關於這個DST可以參觀: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/daylight_time.php

晚上吃了冷冰冰的意粉，連雞、菜都是冰的... T_T 吃完不覺得自己吃了什麼似的...

9th Saturday @ UIUC

由於近日有發福的現象，故特別跑了九個圈，那即是200X9=1800m，希望不要再月巴下去了，我還要去LA的santa monica呀！T_T

晚上吃了個很月巴的牛腩煲，好好味，不過啖啖都好月巴 /_\ 看來今天的消瘦之旅都失敗收場

跟媽媽談電話，原來爸爸三月後的工作還未確實的，唉...

9th Friday @ UIUC

今天是Engineering Open House, open house即是open day類似的東西，因為今天不用上課遲了起床，所以今天很遲才外出，顧著溫書做功課還沒有參觀，那麼明天再參觀就好了。

在grainger走的時候，在engineering hall外面有小型表演，好像製造閃電之類的，閃光之外更有不同的frequency高低音，好捧！

9th Thursday @ UIUC

昨天睡得不好，胃好痛，睡覺又痛坐又痛做什麼都痛，最不好是昨天飲了杯大咖啡，搞到胃痛收場。今天因為依然不適，於是放棄了numerical method，改為自修好了；而security就因為不想放棄而上堂了。

今天下課後跟hendry+ken吃個便飯，然後走過south quad的assembly hall看球場。這場是Illini(音譯易拉拉） VS Michigan籃球賽，雖然是states級的比賽，不過這裡氣氛不比NBA差，真的不錯啊！而且，門票ILLINI字樣還是閃閃的，真的好pro!

assembly hall入面全部人都穿上同一種顏色的衫 - 橙色，因為學校的顏色為橙＋藍色。雖然最後輸波收場（其實illini真好弱，什麼組織都無，而且又不夠氣射波不準，好差！），不過這邊的人都不介意啦...

之後返sherman繼續sem break之旅，yoho~ 我們搞掂了酒店的事宜，在las vegas應該會入住monte carlo酒店，星期日計稅後的價錢為USD140，嘩哈哈～san diego的行程好豐富，我覺得這裡將會好好玩，最緊要是天氣好，加州和Illinois的天氣不要相差太遠，否則行李又多了一件... 打算去Undergrad library借DC，遲一天還，罰四元就算罷啦～

PS. Alice我收到你的信喇>3< 好開心呀收到你封信，好想快ｄ同你地打邊爐T_T 放心啦，我去las vegas會食多ｄ自助餐架喇，所以呢個星期要就住黎食，留肚下星期怒食！XDDD

PPS. 敗了，是因為我未夠努力罷。

嘩哈哈～my mid terms are finally over!!
注意，只是所有科的第一個mid term完結罷了，這裡的人喜歡有兩個mid terms...
還好，迫自己溫書囉

可能昨天溫system programming太悶，結果做盡所有無聊事
例如不斷重看mamimama、野蠻空姐、彎彎的blog.... 看看grand canyon團的價錢等等
嘩，這樣溫書法真要看看你出來的result怎樣喎... -.-

可能昨天不斷飲綠茶（其實這兩天都是，我喜歡溫書飲茶的感覺，雖然那不可說是茶，一點茶味都無...），結果今天絞肚痛 T_T 好可憐，今天不能去吃iHop喇，要不然會變成歷史偉人 T_T

好，是時候準備一下sem break的事喇，嘩哈哈～
去加州要做好準備～～～包括清理功課和想做的事情，每天都不能白過耶！

放棄了numerical method，為的是跟媽媽聊一個晚上的長途電話，好掛住你呢 =] 知道爸爸未來還會有工作，很開心呢，本來擔心爸爸退休後家裡經濟又差爸爸又會太悶，現在沒事喇～我又可以繼續在美國認真去玩喇 XD 連媽媽都叫我玩多些的啊XDDD

自從家裡有$45/mth 的每個月五小時IDD0060之後，爸媽好像不要錢的想打來給我啊，不過這也實在太太太太便宜，如果美國都有就好喇，為什麼這裡的人不懂追求quality of life?!他們的quality真的... -.- 看來都要買個固網電話，不能每星期都問hendry借電話嘛..

嗯，努力背公式背公式 >_<

8th Sunday @ UIUC

昨天溫257的時候哭了，不是因為numerical method太感動，而是因為我又看多次<生日快樂>感動得滯而哭了。已經是第三次看的喇，不過依然覺得好感動。<生日快樂>其實是一套頗悶頗猜得到的戲來的，不過看到後來不知為什麼總會為小南對小米的愛而感動起來。就這樣，我又搞到好夜才睡。

今天十二時許起床，吃了個好正的菜：炸豆腐和醬爆雞丁，其實是昨天去萬家香吃飯時吃剩的，不過叮熱味道還不錯。今天天氣實在太好，一直都是57F，大約都有十三、四度，好爽的天氣啊 =] 所以今天下午走到南邊看看，誤打誤撞走到先人的墓地，真是有怪莫怪... 可能以為天氣太好，穿得太少著涼了，幸而小睡一下又精神返。



這是黃昏時候拍的，都整整兩個月左右未見過五時許的日落喇 =]

溫書喇，要為兩個星期後的假期而努力呀！

8th Saturday @ UIUC

今天好充實，昨天好夜才睡，為的是看多三個chapter的numerical method，終於看明多一點，這科好像好頹但又好像不頹，天啊，我應該怎樣讀呀？！ T_T 今天十一時多起床，起床不久就不斷叫醒kenken要陪個女玩。

結果，今天吃了個早餐就走了去CRCE做gym游水，跑了五個圈之後就去swimming pool嬉水。大概因為浸在水裡太久，只有不時練習踢水而沒有運動，令到身體冷了一下，結果就著了涼。幸而上水後沖了很久的一個熱水涼身體好像舒服點。

吃了個飯之後還有時間小眠一下才過WalMat買下星期的食糧 =] 很好。今左買了兩枝維他命水，有橙和citrus fruit味道，其實我是貪它的樣子幾靚，哈哈。不過這種維他命水好奇怪，有李斯德林版（即藍色像漱口水的樣子）和咳藥水版，不知味道如何，我的一蚊不是花在這些奇怪東西身上的啊... 我只知我的citurs fruit味不錯。

突然又有感而發，我好滿意現在兩個人的生活啊。雖然好像來這邊不是做exchanger應該做的事：例如識人、參加林林種種的活動，不過這種兩個人悠閒的生活也不錯啊。或者有人會覺得好浪費機會，沒有及時大開自己眼界，不過，我好滿意現在的生活就可以啦。我想做的，其實就是要將一個只會讀書求分數的人打造成一個有多些少料子的人，看多幾本書，睡多幾個小時；要忙要趕去旅行要搏命玩，這不是我來這邊的目的。

王志焯說過不可羊群的嘛！

今天派了mid term，是security的，成績算滿意啦 =]

要的起心肝努力溫257喇，嗯嗯！雖然功課是above average，不過它說不拉curve!!!呀!! /_\

現在只有B+的水平而已。



看天氣報告，這個星期都幾暖*v* 晚上平均有40-50F.. 但是為什麼現在出面滿地雪啊?

今天起床不久，居然走火警... 好討厭走火警，還要在我剛起床不久，剛想上廁所的時候！經過上次教訓之後，我變得一點都不怕火警鐘，不過，還是要走的喇 -.- 於是帶好銀包電話電腦257的書就走，帶著kenken走去illini tower吃了個meal破爛（這是frank上次跟我說meal plan的時候不小心跟我說了的，應該是因為plan的讀音跟破爛的普通話差不多吧... ）

吃完後很快換衫擦牙上堂去，還好是遲了五分鐘而已！ =] 不過，好驚呀，我會不會不懂做下星期二的題目啊？！ =[ 我覺得我的腦好像塞了似的，什麼都想不到啊 T_T

8th Wednesday @ UIUC

這個星期的matlab功課實在好難呀!! 終於作出第一次的嘗試 - 找tutor，其實我真的不愛找tutor問，有問題自己看書解決便好，真的臨急抱豬腳時候才會找tutor救命。因為明天要dead，但我居然五條入面有四條都不明白問什麼，那麼便走去問問啦...

因為言語不通，他說的我又不太明白，好多時候呆下呆下，嗚.. 他一定覺我好死蠢啦 T_T雖然最後達到目的，不過都不太愉快 T_T

最後一條matlab programming是計出spline的，嗚，做了很久喇，答案總算叫我滿意喇... 因為這份功課找到一個好實用的matlab blog，這個人實在太叻太有貢獻喇！這是一個中文的matlab，入面分好topic，繪圖、solve equation等等都有介紹，例子很多，看了就懂！http://bime-matlab.blogspot.com/

這樣就踏入第八個星期喇！即是說，我的二十個星期的外國生活（包括一個星期左右的日本之旅*v*）差不多過了一大半喇～想起很快就可以到日本真的很興奮，不過，那不是代表住我要找暑期工煩屋企的事煩錢銀問題煩grant loan的日子又開始了嗎？！

在UIUC第八個星期一，即是開課後第七個星期一，我和ken終於走堂了... 因為我趕不了241的MP，唯有繼續努力，不過，我還是毫無頭緒，結果不知怎的刪了一句就搞到..算啦，做到就算T_T

今天上英文堂很悶啊... 兩個小時的悶堂，其實，這樣是否真的用到英文學到英文的呢？

下課後早早回家，一心打算好好洗衫做完257執屋啦，誰知在laundry才聽到火警鐘！這是我第一次在這邊遇上火警，一聽到的時候好驚，周圍一個人都沒有，不知道究竟是真的還是fire drill，不過心想再不走可能會燒死喇，於是趕緊洗落機衫就爬樓梯走出去。那時候我還要穿著拖鞋身穿一件薄薄的champion外套！

好羨慕那些留在房間的人，可以帶走他們的passport銀包穿上大衣 T_T 如果火燒掉了我的passport都不知怎好... 後來聽人講才知道short building真的著火了，我住的tall building沒事，所以可以走了～呼。幸而一早交了MP，否則這樣搞法，一定過了9pm都交不到！

Chicago NBA Trip (Day 2)

這天起來是九時半，原先約好了九時半就閃人啊。不過，我都是用了十五分鐘就出得門喇～快～

connie等人說因為時間不夠所以不吃早餐了.... 我、ken、hendry繼續我們CU Engine頹人旅行團。在dunkin dounut吃了個早餐，然後計劃一下行程。決定了先到art institute，然後去食giodano的pizza，之後再去navy pier玩，玩完返china town join connie等人吃飯。就這樣，ken和hendry又做了我的盲公竹，我覺得不懂看地圖實在太不方便，應該下次spring break就要好好學識看地圖喇！

由於二月入場免費，我們只需要放下兩元放外衣及包包即可。這裡大得很，雖然三層exhibition hall，不過每個都很大，大得我們走了半天都走不完呢！這裡可以拍照，不過不准開閃燈，我那個手機閃燈有等於冇，對我影響不大。:p
















這就是栩栩如生喇，右下角那個士兵放大後是第二幅畫喇～這裡的畫很多都很漂亮，光暗控制得宜，連水果上的水珠都畫得如真的水滴一樣！看完兩個鐘之後，想走出都很困難... 幸而有方向感很強的hendry，將我帶出困境！可能因為二時了，來參觀的人多了，lobby位很迫人呢！

之後，路痴的我跟著兩位義士走，終於來到giodano的pizza店。connie他們真沒介紹錯，這裡的pizza好吃的很！ 大家看到了沒有？這個pizza的芝士多得好像pizzahut廣告才會看到的情景！pizza底又脆又可口！好正呀！*v*

吃飽飽，三位頹人繼續趕路。買到了one day pass，五元就可以周圍坐CTA喇～所以我們無論搭錯車好路程很短都好，CTA都是不錯的選擇！

幾經辛苦，由chicago downtown走了幾十條街，為hendry買到了電話卡喇！以後可以找到hendry了... *v* 入黑後才到達navy pier，這裡真的沒什麼好看耶。最特別的是那個stained glass exhibition，想起以前中學時Christams的日子我們會怎樣decorate課室的窗呢！逛著逛著，我們去到那個hall A的地方，入面有個Gym festival的東西，那些小朋友雖然看似中一、二，不過個個都可以隨便打個側手翻、一字碼、後空翻，那是全場的小朋友都會，應該都有數以千計的人啊！！

看得多都幾悶，之後走了室外的地方，找到了摩天輪，拍拍照就閃人喇～
